I have offered to put the bikes in the lounge so she could sit on them. As long as she doesn't eat or drink anything. Or wear anything with zips, buckles, etc.
I decided to do some stuff like clean and re-fit the belly pan and front sprocket cover and found that the lock shim for the front sprocket has been F****d with, and the gear shift has had a ghetto race shift mod... Anyway I cleaned it up and put it back together, greased the pivot with ACF corrosion block grease, it's a good multi purpose. Then noticed the pannier mount was hitting the carbon exhaust cover, a bit of tough love with a file cured that. Still close so will keep an eye on it. Then that strip of 3mm 304 stainless was winking at me, and I have a nice set of Cobalt drill bits, the MK2 spotlight brackets got made, it's a bugger to work with and buggered all 3 drill bits, dremel tools were vanishing faster than the metal so the 500W grinder and flap disc came out to play.
Donated my 71st pint (500ml) pint of blood this morning. Got given a certificate for being in a study (investigating different intervals between donations) - not sure whether I should file it or just bin it. Still got a free club biscuit and a cup of coffee!!
It was quite a good production but possibly 20 mins longer than it could have been. Pixie Lott sings Moon River in it and she has an absolutely fantastic voice. 10/10! And she's definitely eye candy.
After posting on another thread, reminiscing about times gone by, I got a few pictures out. In this picture of one of my lorries is my son, he will be 36 in June. This is one of my old cars, it was an X works shell put back on the road by an X ford employe. Steve
Must have passed like ships in the night. Sadly I didn't get away without spending. I now have one of the new DP front brake guards, a lovely bit of kit compared with Rizoma et al, a Danny Buchan t shirt for Carole and 2 handlebar tiedown straps. Andy
Forgot to ask, did you see the brand new Monster 1200R in black near the service counter ? Very nicely understated and subtle and very pretty. Andy
Didn't notice, saw a 1199r being wheeled out, had a very close look at the 749r and a good perch on the new HyperM.
And too bloody rare chap! A proper old gentleman with a real lady on his arm - been together since they were sweet sixteen! He's already contacted me on whatsapp of all things! I only found out about it when my daughter sorted it for sending photos 6 months ago.He was flickin through his iPhone 6s Plus like a 15 yr old kid
Andy, I think, asked if I needed any help, then the young chap pushing the 1199r out had a chat about the HyperM while I was trying it on for size. New we should get forum T shirts.
SWMBO and I went to Redbrick Mill in Batley to look at glass splashbacks for our kitchen and to just have a general mooch around Heals and the other top concessions in there. Anyway we had a quick look in the art gallery section and I saw a picture by an artist called Leigh Lambert, which jumped out at me (not literally if course) that I absolutely loved. It made me very sentimental, reminding me of my childhood and my dad, who died two years ago. Two minutes later I was the proud owner of that and a piece of sculpture. I am now skint and any thoughts of placing an order for a new bike have been put back a couple of months. But I am more than happy with my picture
