Today I am trying to go without any pain killers, as a kind of experiment; last tablets were yesterday evening. It is not good to keep taking the Co-Codamol and Ibuprofen like Smarties morning noon and night. I'm managing OK so far, provided I take it easy. Still have the tabs to hand though, in case I really need them.
Became the enemy and passed my C+E driving.. = lorry and trailer. (not even going to use it for road,just for shunting in and out of garages) Fitted a seat cowl to the 848 went out for a blast. Winner winner chicken dinner
Got a new rear tyre fitted on the rear for GSXR. Scrub her in 100mls then i'll be all ready for track day #2.
who said honda's don't brake down? currently have a vfr in the workshop thats been ridden all the way up from Guildford in a group of three during the worst weather of the year. heavy snow,rain, wind Brr. thats hard core btw. think it might be something to do with the after market alarm/immobilizer. fob was full of water. poor sod its been wall to wall sunshine up here for the last two weeks.
Earlier in the week, got the BMW serviced, insured the BMW and insured the Ducati. Paid a few other Bills. My eyes are still watering. That's my little stash of money gone, stone broke, again!
Busy day, arrived at TPCS just after 9, had a chat with Steve and dropped the second set of NC29 wheels off for refurbishment. Got away before 10 so arrived at Micheldever Tyres by 10:45 to pick up a pair of Diablo Corse rain tyres for the NC29. Next stop MRs for a bit of bling for the 1098, a Fullsix carbon dash surround. Next stop Alton models for a bit to replace something missing from a train set. Home for a bite to eat then strip and clean the Brembos on the Multistrada and finally free up the front disc bobbins. Time for a coffee break and a biscuit . Andy
Waited in all day for the washing machine repair man....who didn't turn up. Glad I booked a day off work to be stuck in the house!
After what must be 39 phone calls,txts and E mails with a punter I jumped on the rattler into London this morning to meet him face to face and serve him a lovely Gold Rolex with Diamond and Ruby bezel (I say lovely - but not my taste cos a touch too Arab for me!).He assured me he had the balance in readies and his part exchange watch (a Rolex yachtmaster) safely stored at his jeweller/watch specialists who was going to check over my watch and give it approval and thumbs up.After a cab journey that he thought he was going to get me to pay for (wrong!) that took for ever his so called expert working from what I can only describe as an old school pawn brokers with plenty of low life's and dodgepots coming and going.Mr Expert who knows less about quality timepieces than my cat - firstly came out with the usual "this watch is copy!" - I said no problem - Watches of Switzerland are obviously selling knockoffs? We had better phone police and have them arrested! Then it was this watch is insurance claim from burglary!Then strap is 14ct not 22ct Gold - all total utter bollox so I said I'm off and don't think of following me out of shop or any of your little Herbert's hanging about pretending to be punters cos my man is parked opposite! Lovely day out though and lunch was good
