Link it up with a Wallace and you could make a million. It'll never gain popularity though. I mean , plasticine tv. That went out with Michael Bentine or Vision On ....
Indeed. Currently Mercury, Earth and Mars are pretty much in alignment, and Saturn not far off. Pity that Venus is round the other side of the Sun. Planets of the Solar System 2016 : The Planets Today
We went for tea at the best Indian restaurant in the universe. I'm now watching the championship play off between Sheffield and Brighton and I've just arranged a weekend away with the bike/s with one of my Portsmouth friends Tomorrow I'm off up north to see my old mum, and Sunday we are off to Tatton park to do a Segway off road course. Can't wait
A few years ago now I had a nerve in my arm randomly break down. The initial symptoms were similar to MS, and I remember sitting in the doctors surgery feeling physically sick, not so much from what he was saying, but from what he wasn't saying. I had some conductivity tests and was prescribed carbomazapan which is used to treat epilepsy. The theory was that a neural suppressor would help to 'relax' the nerve and stimulate re growth. Fortunately it worked, but regaining full sensitivity in the arm took a long time. Initial symptoms were numbness and a lack of grip in my left hand - I remember wrapping Christmas presents one year and simply not being able to get my arm to work properly. It was a frightening period. The other wierd side effect was the drug made me super sleepy for the first couple of days. Our family had relatives in Clacton and it was my turn to drive up there. I had been advised not to drive that weekend so dad drove. I remember sleeping all of the way there in the back of his Jaguar, we then went to lunch where I fell asleep into my pint of Guinness, and then slept the whole way home - I was awake perhaps three hours out of 24.
Got a stinking cold today, God knows where from. Got my car back from the Bodyshop after 2 months. Great stuff. Got to have a good weekend now.
You write them , and no one will read them. But they'll all say it needs to be done and all proudly claim input. Just copy a previous one and see if anyone notices- that's always fun.
Rode home in the dark and after 30 odd mins on the motorway I realised both low beams had gone pop. Whoops. Rode the remaining time with full beam on. Sorry oncoming people! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Drove up the M4 for the usual mother visit plus estate work. Some stupid people around - sign on the motorway " 50 pedestrians in road ahead -slow" . Who on earth let 50 pedestrians loose on the motorway. I speeded up , but didn't see any to make them hop around- teach em to lounge around in the motorway on foot...
Had a look at the impressive carnage on the bikes front end after last night, went through a swarm of midges at 'some' mph. Tomorrow will be busy once I drag my ass out of bed after a week of earlys.
Did 200 miles through some of the best roads in Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset and Devon ........ and some of the worst today. Been a great day in the company of 9 other riders and have arrived at our very quirky B&B in Barden which dates back in part to the 1550s. A couple of beers and some decent scoff in a local hostelry and now time for bed. Less miles planned for tomorrow (thankfully because my bum is sore) but no less interesting. Andy
Was lucky enough to be at the Porsche Experience Centre up at Silverstone on their GT Experience (thanks missus for my birthday pressie!). Started in a 991 Carrera GTS, then a 997 GT2, 997 GT3 RS and a 991 GT3 RS - all of them truly spectacular to drive! Haven't really driven cars on track before and blown away by how much grip there is. Launch control in the 991 GT3 RS is laugh-out-loud funny.... Then on the way home dropped in to Thorpe Park and rode the roller coasters for a truly top day!!! Tomorrow's gonna be a real anti-climax...
Fairly mundane Saturday really, did the Somatic Palates class I do on a Saturday morning, went to the cider mill to get some cider, and then changed the front discs and pads, and washed and polished the car. chilling with a cuppa now, will nip to the chippy shortly and Eurovision (woohoo) tonight.
Another 150 miles today but around north Devon this time. Some really stonking roads that flow with the odd surprise to keep you on your toes. Few more beers tonight and sadly back home tomorrow. Still, got Cheddar Gorge to look forward too and a run back to Devizes for lunch. It has been a really good weekend thanks to the efforts of the ride lead who just decided to do a run and made it open to anyone who wanted to join in. Andy
It does all that and more! Totally saps all your energy and when you finally wake up from a 12/15 hour sleep you're more tired than you were before you went to bed
