Me and Gimlet are definitely in the minority but both of us have had the same issues (mainly the rear stepping out under load)...in fact as he stated yesterday he's only got about 1500 out of his rear and its close to the limit....my rear got to just over 2k. In comparison the knackered 2ct on the rear of my hyper gives about the same type of grip...
So I've got M7RRs on the Multistrada and have in the order of 2000 maybe 2500 miles on them and anticipate getting another 2000 ish. I run them at 2.5 bar front and rear and ride quite enthusiastically trying to stick to twisty A and B roads. I have Racetech Interact K0/K1 combination on my 853 track bike running 32psi front/28psi rear cold. Wear is even and grip is excellent, running 2 minute laps at Cartagena and Almeria. When I asked the instructor at Almeria if I should change the tyres for day 3, he said he'd have them off me because they had more tread than the tyres he had on his bike. I bought the new Racetech RR K3s for Almeria but am thinking about putting them on the 1098R. I don't factor in life/mileage when I buy a tyre, I want something that gives the confidence to enjoy myself and suits my riding style and that at the moment is Metzeler. I used to be a Bridgestone man in the days of the BT01 but they got left behind, I dislike the angular profile of the Dunlop, I hate Continentals with a passion, Michelin don't suit my riding style and whilst Pirelli own Metzeler, I don't think they compete. When all is said and done, it's personal taste. Andy
Getting to towards the finish of an Oak pagoda, it's green oak and has been very heavy work but hopefully it'll be worth it , the roof is going to be slated. I had a lift putting the posts in position otherwise i've been on my own. Steve

like it!!! why is one of the jacks longer than the rest? i been doin a roof last 6 days... had a laborer for 3 days helping but other than that i been on my own.. not easy at all measuring, cutting and fixing.. up n down like a jocky's nuts. wont look much in these pics but the building is outa square and outa parallel buy 500 over 6 mtrs so the road front is 29 degrees and the rear is 33 so 5 degree change of pitch down one side, 2 hips at 33 and a crippled hip running into a bastard valley (the spawn of 29 v 33) the front has 2 valleys a 3 hips and the wall plates are outa square by miles.. i LOVE architects.. only been cutting roofs for a few years and even my mentor said good luck when i asked his advice!!! now its built it looks simple and on paper its a doddle but its fried my swede!!! done now though..
Bloody hell and I thought a hip end and 2 gables was difficult.... I tip my hat to you sir! Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
cheers dude.. it has many flaws as in the jacks should be slightly higher than the valley but when pivoting the valley offa 45 degrees to marry the 2 pitches that is where it seemed to sit nicest. there will be a formula for this but i dont know it!! and the valley boards have gone in ok and surprisingly, even on the elevation where the pitch changes, it is very flat and has met the tilers approval.. now he just has to make 600mm to nothing of run disappear.. not my department...
Renovated 2 houses in my life. I can totally appreciate what goes into that... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Posted back the notice of intent to prosecute for doing 40 in a 30. A67 just before Yarm Bollocks. I knew there was a speed trap ahead as cars and bikes were flashing coming from that direction, so made sure I was doing 40 as my sat nav said 40 limit. Not had any points on my license for over 28 years bollocks.
I left the office a bit early to go to Leeds for my tea with #2 son and family. We tried a new pizza place in Headingley (#2 son would live on pizza and chocolate if it was an option). One year old grandson has just learned to walk and now he's manic. He was all over the place in the pizza place. If I'd have been one of the staff I'd have cuffed the little bugger! Anyway the pizza and gelato was lush and SWMBO and I were both suitably stuffed! In fact I think I am cultivating a food baby this morning!
