Went to Silverstone this afternoon and sold some parts. Great to be in the paddock again but found out I barely fit into the cars I was considering racing... lots more research, complicated trying to work out the regs another minefield. Not sure about racing on mixed grids, I was looking to do it for fun but I'd like to try and be competative and with different chassis and engines that could be where the costs rise. Artic lorries and drivers with supercars gives the game away a bit. Stopped at the Sausage cafe (A5) on the way back to find it was shut, it was packed with bikers on the way there. Need to get a car pronto for work, need to get in my garage and get this bike back together, still waiting for my carbon airbox and air intakes.. maybe next week or the week after. May have to fit some new an improved starter cables and hoses at the same time.. I'd like a new loom but time and cost and I want to ride it this year.
My son did that to his ankle he had crutches Plenty of ice it works and elevation He has had to have physio though as a few months on its still painful running on it So tell her to rest up and be gentle
Took a mate on a 600 mile round trip to look at a fairly special mondeo turbo. The car was quite a late model, low mileage and mint, pretty much a done deal....until the test drive. All going well, the owner was gentle with the car, but nothing out of the ordinary. My mate and the owner swapped places and everything seemed well until a harder pull through third gear. After a moment on boost with a heavy throttle it developed the most brutal spectacular misfire, it was like being hit with a sledgehammer. Upon getting back the car started behaving very oddly. An abs and traction control light came and went, a P0500 wheel speed sensor code came and went, a previous low key battery warning disappeared, the trip meter and odometer went to ----- then re appeared and for a moment the car wouldn't shut down in the start / stop button. The seller was a genuine guy and was gutted as he had no idea there was an issue (it was behaving fine until the misfire, then went to hell in a hand cart) needless to say we came home empty handed. [emoji53] Was a nice day out though.
Yesterday wasn't all bad, went to Rich's Cider Farm and got some scrumpy as we were passing, then had fish and chips at Burnham-on-Sea.
Last minute prep for Bedford tomorrow. Going to piss down apparently. Got to ride there to so I'll be getting soaked all day by the looks of it. Bit gutted......
Was having a great week until Wednesday when I had a wobbly day with the MS shit and went into hossie to get checked out.Scans,X Ray's,blood tests and all the usual stuff I'm by now used to? Was totally disgusted by the behaviour of certain patients and their relatives!!! Shouting, swearing,Spitting and fighting - police called and attended 4/5 times - our docs n nurses do a hard, emotional job with long hours without these morons causing all this shit? More than once I was up with my stick in hand but I realised it would make me as bad as the other scum? God help our NHS - it's like working in a war zone - Friday night was pretty bloody scary
messed with the clutch on and cleaned the 48 before taking her for a very short blast.. shoulder and arm not liking riding at all the last few weeks.. hope its better for the ride to the bbq!!! i will be riding anyway but it would be nice to enjoy it!
So that was yesterday? If your banging this in on your phone then I'm the other side of that bloody pier about then, dog &Daughter in tow! that cider would have done just right with the barby alight
