  1. Apparently heavy rain coming, so been out on the 959 past 2 evenings. It really is a cracking ride and just love it. She can move on a bit and stock sound is surprisingly nice.
You know when you get home and think, I should go out again and that feeling putting her away smiling.
Last night when I got home I was laughing, wife asked me what was wrong, my reply was "that bike is f**king class"

  2. Sat here by the hotel pool on our last full day in Salou trying to decide which is harder. Trying to look cool in my Oakleys 40 years too late or trying not to get caught looking at all the bikini clad women round the pool. One thing for sure, I have been surprised by the number of sports bikes in the area. Yes there are the inevitable plethora of scooters which you'd expect, a few Monsters, a Hypermotard, a couple of Diavels, Harleys everywhere but a significant number of Gixxers, Blades, the odd R1 and even an 899. Missing my bikes and you can bet when we get back it'll be raining. Andy

  3. Ouch

  4. Did Brands Hatch GP for the first time! No chance on the Panigale so it was on the BMW but what an awesome track. Someone shoot the neighbors!

  5. The BT problem wiped out connectivity to the main site server today so had to slog around the Bristol ring road to the site to do any work, grrrr. Home early to get to the physio session for my knee. Was off to WSM bike night but heavy rain
    So out on pushbike instead.

  6. Went to Thruxton to watch the BSB qualifying - managed to get some half decent (considering my camera and lens) photos of the Ducati Tri Options Cup

  8. I took the car for it's MOT and it failed on the handbrake, needs to be 17% and it was 14-15 "the rest of the car is well looked after and it's engine is running super clean" was his comment. (HC of 19/200 and CO of 0, not bad for a 14 year old 2.5 straight 6)

BMW handbrakes are notoriously crap, just a tiny drum in the middle of the disc that only does the handbrake. So the rear brakes have been stripped and cleaned/roughed up then put back together. I don't know what else to do with it, everything was replaced in November last year with quality parts, maybe replace the shoes with BMW genuine.
    This is what went in...

  9. Finally rolled out of my pit about 1.00pm with near death hangover and nursed a lovely Renault Clio with totally knackered clutch (2x lady owners!) to Latvian mechanic.Got clutch kit from eurocarpart for £67.00 which he is fitting for £100 cash! - rather him than me!!! Walked round to cafe to get a bacon banjo and an old duchess was telling guy on till she is getting her BMW cleaned to sell on auto trader next week. In like Flynn - I gave her £1350 for an 03 53 Bmw 320i SE Auto Convertible with all the service stamps and a gentle 107,000 miles.Whats the sayin about being in right place at right time?

  11. Mind you it ain't all Weddings? I get more than my fair share of funerals! I bought a nasty Audi S3 on Thursday that drives ok ish but on way back to ranch the temp gauge shot up alarmingly quickly but I managed (just) to get home. On looking in the coolant header tank it look like someone had filled it with a Maccy D's chocolate shake? I think it's probably had a couple of bottles of "miracle head gasket cure" kindly inserted by the slippery seller! Ho hum 42 years in the job and I still got shafted? Just filling out the British Car Auction entry right now - "Sold unwarranted with no returns" - will give the yard boy a drink to get it at front of line up so it doesn't boil like a kettle

  12. Test rode a Scrambler this afternoon, very nice, I want one. So as I've decided to reduce the number of bikes I own there is likely to be an 04 800 monster and my beautiful 06 749 (monopost) seat up for sale shortly. Both had a full service including belts in the Last year.

  13. Dropped the Duc off at the dealers to be looked at. Bike seems to be throwing out an abnormal amount of heat (even in panigale terms) although it's regulating the pipes seem to be getting silly hot, the rear is even visibly glowing in the evenings.

Suspect silencer blockage (new silencer was fitted under warranty) issue has been since then.

    We'll see

  14. Watched 'Citizen Kane' for the 1st time in my life.
