  4. The bearded git actually said...

"I bet Ducati wish they could still build bikes like they used to!"

Don't know why he said it though. ;)

  7. dont change it. modify it. you can use the normal style of brake fitting kit and use the spring cap on the other side of the back plate. i do it regular. permanent repair btw.

  8. Drum roll please....I have the claim to fame of being the first world wide to have a samco hose kit for the gen 4 z1ooo....with the not so popular bikes samco operate a kind of scheme where you send your original set of hoses in, they then tool and manufacture a set from the stock hoses you supply. They keep your hoses as a reference set and then you get a free set and stainless fittings....might be the placebo effect but yesterday after fitting it it seems to be running about 5 deg cooler (about 72 deg) at normal cruising but that could be more down to fresh coolant going in....any how very pleased with my free blag...it only had to stay off the road for the month...top stuff.

  10. Yep - theres always a skip somewhere in our road....that particular model belongs to my neighbour over the road who bought the house next to us and has been renovating it for the last 18 months but felt he didn't have enough to do so knocked out the back wall of the garage in his old house (where the skip is) so tonight when I get home from work ill be clearing breeze block based rubble - I reckon theres a few skips worth there....I thought I was pretty hard core with the diy but cant hold a candle to Rich....63 years old also...even yesterday he spent the day at his sons house building his extension then came home and mowed the lawn (in the new house)....I don't know where he gets the energy...

The car in front is Rich's motorized skip...I reckon that thing could drive itself to the local tip...

  11. very nice, the AR can looks Loud !!

  12. Not as loud as the old brawlers I had on there but makes a lovely glugging noise - that can came from the rsv4 - by sheer damn luck it fitted...

  13. Ill keep an eye/ear out for you !

  14. In the garage by 8:15am, Diavel up on stands, front and rear wheels out and off the Micheldever tyres by 9:00. New rubber acquired and fitted and back home for the reverse. Wheels in, everything tightened and torque checked and ready to go. I think I'll go back to bed now, I'm knackered. Andy

  15. so last night more fettling of a cosmetic nature....

    - removed the nasty faux carbon tank protector
    - tidied up the marchesinis
    - tidied up the sprocket
    - removed the airboxes and cleaned up the filters and reattached
    - removed the chain guard and brake pipe protector and cleaned up the chain stay
    - applied 303 protectant to all exposed plastics
    - reattached the front fender

  17. Fairly certain I've been done by a camera van for setting fastest sectors on the A27.

Typical isn't it, spend the weekend riding a 205bhp bike and then get knicked in a diesel transit custom.

    Awaiting the post man.

  18. Ah! A Hyundai, I couldn't quite make it out. Good get.

  19. Are you sick of it yet?

  20. I took the XDiavel back to Ducati Manchester first thing. I have to say that it grew on me over the past couple of days and it really is a good bike. Try one, you might just be surprised :)

The ride back on my scrambler was fun too as I could chuck it around some of West Yorkshire's best twisties :upyeah:

This afternoon was pretty mundane culminating in a Skype call with a potential client in the USA.
