  2. my wife told me at lunchtime "we need a new lounge carpet"

I told her " we don't need a new lounge carpet - there's nothing wrong with the one we've got"

Outcome - the new carpet is being fitted on thursday

  3. Yesterday I had a day out on the MT with some friends, 416 miles and no real aches or pains, touch of arse ache when I was taking the boring way back from Leeds down the A1, Cruise Control makes it too easy.

Hawes, the MT was the smallest bike in the group...

Despite it's smaller engine I was playing with the nutter on the Blackbird, he said he has never seen me that comfortable and smooth at speed on any bike. (Hint, the bike is making this chimp look good)

How the hell did we get to the north end of the buttertubs pass? who's leading this ride GAZ!? Nice scenery though when we didn't stop for a pic.

And onward to the edge of Scotland and the most expensive Tuna Mayo sandwich I have ever had, Kielder Water.
    Google Maps

And home through Corbridge, Bernards Castle, Leyburn, Ripon ect.

  4. Finished the foundations for my decking perimeter wall. Still putting the van to good use picking up concrete and pre mix mortar, did I mention my new van? :D
Decking was my spring time job but with the creaky back it's taking a while!
Need to start laying bricks now which I can do, at about 1 brick every 5 mins :smileys: coast tomorrow though for fish and chips with the Czech half of the family.

  13. It's exactly just 10 days away that I will walk my little princess down the aisle and give her away after being the numero uno man in her life! Don't know who is more nervous??? Collected my new suit this morning from my tailor in Eton, then into London for stunning shirt from Zegna, tie from St.James's,Hermes for a black belt and Jeffrey West fir an amazing pair of handmade shoes,Think I beat my daughters dress cost by double - but I needed a decent suit to fit my new slimline super lightweight frame. Will get plenty of use out of it as I like a sharp tailored suit and it will look good in my coffin when time comes? Only joking

  14. Went to work today. My odd logic was, if I have another cardiac abnormality episode on my own at home, it could be 4 or 5 hours before anyone found me. At least at work they tend not to overlook bodies slumped at their desk or laying on the floor, wouldn't look good on the "perfect day" statistics :). Andy
