if i remember rightly the 500 bullet i rode had a decompression switch to start, which made it pretty simple, being british design though gear lever and brake back to front which was confusing for starters, and a tickler
Second post today, just been to MotoRapido and picked some new rubber for the rear brake and gear selectors.

Went for a 200 mile play on the bike and then washed the crap off it. Lots of diesel still on the roads tho even after all the rain.

Gym myself this morning, finally sorted the crank on my MTB so thats back ready to ride again and then braved gym again with missus to help her work a 'program'....scariest thing I've done since I've stopped racing
still feeling shite, but somewhat better. This afternoon, a couple of guys in the Ducati family helped me out checking a frame: where the distributor would be - Ducati UK, Ducati NA etc., the records say 'Moto ultilizzata in', which translates as 'Bike used to'... Factory records say it was born in Dec 2003 and it's absolutely a Caracchi bike (they bought all the Breil bikes at the end of 2005). We know that the race bikes were taken from the production line and transformed by Ducati Corse with the race kit. It's possible that this is one of these. I'm hoping to get more information next week - interesting.
went to the dealers and got a new free number plate with the correst registration to replace the wrong one thats been on from day one 3 and a half years ago
Pressed legs to pedals for 10 miles on a very hilly (imo) route around he countryside of Winchester, managed an steady 13mph average including slowing for my mate to keep up. No off to loomies for a coffee and a natter

Been to visit my sister who only came out of hospital yesterday, get well soon sis. She wanted a picture of the bike how could I refuse especially when she had her bins out as well.ha ha
Had my ears lowered then grabbed a costa on the way back in to work. Witnessed pressure test on new instal. Back home to burn the Christmas tree. Just watching darts at the mo . Hope your feeling better soon Viv
