Just got back to the hotel after the second and final day of our BBS track holiday. Had a fantastic day but if anything, this afternoon got too hot. We were only managing 10 to 15 minute sessions before having to take a break to rehydrate. This is our first trip to Jerez and it will most definitely not be the last. The track might not be the most technical but it has a fantastic flow to it. When I can get my arse in gear I have a couple of pictures to post on my phone. Heading to the bar for a well earned beer. In the basement watching Airplane II (wife upstairs having a "gin night" which essentially means half the road (women!) come round for a piss up) - just coming up to the bit with William Shatner - awesome stuff....
Went to local canal boat yard to get a bottle of gas for BBQ as its cheapest place around. Was a Husky 700 65 plate parked outside. Got chatting with the bloke in the shop and ended up having a play in the car park on it! 700 singles, interesting. Wouldn't want as my only bike, but I could find room in the garage for one.
I went to the Harry Potter shop at kings X station to pass a bit of time. I was amazed at the cost of stuff in there............they were charging £75 for a hogwarts school jumper, £35 for a scarf, and £34 for a wand (or stick as I'd prefer to call them)
woke up this morning, and the first thing the wife asked me was "how much do you love me ?" "well look at the stars in the sky - that's how much I love you" "but it's morning ?" "exactly"
Put a car on Gumtree that I've had lying about for a while. Within 5 minutes, I had 3 phone calls from accident compensation companies. All with a Liverpool phone number prefix too. Bloody parasites.
I've been getting some "have-you-been-in-an-accident?" calls. Had some hilarious fun with them. "OMG, I've been in an accident?! Was I hurt? When was this?!". Had one girl try to reassure me that I was going to be fine. :Hilarious:
I got one a few weeks ago, and when he started his pitch, I said to him "you're phishing". He replied by saying "I'm not fishing, I'm sitting at my desk" which I thought was quite good. I suppose he's heard them all before though. My witty badinage was exhausted at this point, so I told him to "F**k Off" and hung up. :Meh:
I took the Panigale in for its first service. Saw @panigale66 and had a chinwag. Came home via a circuitous route, which was nice as I can now start to thrash it. When I got home I cleaned the Panigale and then the Scrambler in readiness for the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride tomorrow (donations still gratefully accepted on the following link - Teodoro Di Stasi - The 2016 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride Went to put the bikes away and the bloody scramblers gears were playing up! Grrrr!! Anyway a bit of frigging about and then a 20 mile ride and it's all good and back to normal, thank invisible being in the sky Roll on tomorrow
Tried on Rukka and Dainese jacket and trousers. Around twice the price, I need to make my bloody mind up whether the Rukka is worth it. I'm normally impulsive.
