My mates did 100 laps of Brands full circuit on a push bike for a charity event. "It's quit hilly" he said.
Picked up 999 after getting the valves done and a dyno run to get their opinion. Apparently it's very rich, whatever that means.
Funny you mentioned it. I phoned Thursday to check it was done and get the cost to be told the bill wasn't ready as the workshop had not sent the hours up yet. Called yesterday to check it was done and get costs and was told "just about to send it for its remap, valves all done". "No, just a dyno run, I can't afford a £350 remapping, I just want to see what she's like" says I. "Ok, by the way we threw some new belts on as yours looked a little old" they say. "Um, I fitted them in March and they have done under 700 miles" says I. Apparently he got confused between two 999's they had in. Went to collect today and pay and was told "we have a new computer system and I can't work it so take the bike and we'll call you with a bill next week".
CR, my R6 5EB track bike needs tyres, body work tidy up and a bit of checking over = winter job. I may join you (next year) if you are out, but not until I do one trackday. I've never been to Bedford. I assume it is where Palmer do corporate days with their race cars? I know drivers who take the punters round. I may pop up Monday to take a look, it's not far cross country from me. Could bring my camera assuming it's like testing days and they let public in? Are people allowed to take pics? I imagine they have an official track photographer to coin it in.
No idea on Joe Public turning up to watch. Yes, it's the Palmer place. Be nice to catch up for a cuppa between sessions, you could be my unofficial lap timing bitch . Only my 2nd day and riding there/back so plan is: 1: Don't blow up engine 2: Don't crash 3: see 1 & 2.
Oh oh. Made the mistake of walking out at night - discovered night swimming. Thy means three miles in three pools Before breakfast, 50km punisher road bike ride before elevenses and now an evening three mile swim before bedtime. You don't know just how hard I'm working here...
