Unfortunately, I've still got it and it's a life-style changer - I asked our GP about the op, and he said he didn't know of anyone whose op had been successful, so he advised against it (although my mother had one operated on, and it was successful). We avoid restaurants as I can only eat part of a main course, or I start to get the pains/uncomfortableness, and potato's/bread/rice kick it off too. A right bugger !
Front disc bobbins cleaned on both bikes, front calipers on the Diavel cleaned and the Diavel washed. Steak and kidney pudding for tea, yum ! Andy
Not quite as I have an older sister! They toured Europe in a sidecar when my sister was a baby - I think I need to try and sort out some more photos of his biking days!
Sorry to hear, only diagnosed around May and only minimal symptoms at the time although had peptic ulcers around 35 years ago/acid flare-ups over the years but this is relentless. It's always good to know you are not alone though. GP said two known successful ops out of 4 she had referred.
Well we've had a blast today. The two eldest grandchildren loved it and after 15 minutes of learning how to walk with planks on their feet and side stepping up the nursery slope they were going up the travellator on their own and sliding down without the instructor holding their hands. And by the end of the hour session they'd both got the hang of doing plough turns! I was really impressed with the pair of them and pleased they'd enjoyed it Unfortunately my youngest grandson (and d-i-l) didn't make today as he'd been ill all night but the two year old loved tubing particularly when #2 son (his uncle) took him to the top of the slope and went too fast to stop and crashed into the crash barriers We then went to a lovely cafe/deli for lunch and poor grandad is now skint. But happy at having such a lovely day
I I treat it as an involuntary gastric band without the surgery as it stops me eating large amounts, but if we do go for meals, I'm having to constantly apologise for leaving substantial amounts on the plate..
^ had that one too - (inguinal), mesh and a plug - was fine for 5 years but now playing up probably due to scar tissue.
Went to Weymouth for step-mums 70th lunch. Dad must have been pleased as he gave me his model collection. Gord knows if they are worth anything.
Managed to get a privileged place flying at Skydive Dubai - great views and fantastic weather. Only needed a 185cc engine instead of the usual 996 (lol)
Just released from hospital at last with a carrier bag of drugs, dressings and creams! Had first bath in 2 weeks! OMG - I didn't want to get out!!! Just phoned my fave curry house - Chicken madras, nans and all the bits are on the way!
I took my grandkids to a firework display on bonfire night. Granddad, can we actually buy some next year?" asked the eldest one as we stood looking at them behind the counter in Sainsbury's
