Hahaha - I worked in an Esso petrol station in 1974 and we didn't give out the G S Stamps unless punters asked for them so when we did pump readings at end of our shift we used to run off the unclaimed big 10 stamps! I can still remember my old mum (bless her) sitting in the kitchen with a sponge in a cereal bowl sticking them in the books! We had just about everything in the catalogue
yep, used to have a gf who worked in gas station,, house was packed out with bloody stuff !! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
It's how I got my first socket set, screwdrivers and spanners! Not that they were much good but they did the job in 1974
remember rolling into gas station in ( iirc ) west ken ( london ) in my big old rover 3.5 and filling up, just at same time a roller comes in and fills up, ( god knows how much ) and the bird at the counter gives me his GS stamps,, !! then the guy with me shouts out something about the revolution,,, what a laugh !!
Suposed to have a chilled out day.. after having a busy week that was not as productive as it should have been. Called out to work this morning. Building has no power. One of the cables has melted that supply power to a consumer unit on the other side of the building. 1/2 the building has no power and the boilers have stopped. Not sure if we can get that circuit breaker.. fun fun fun. Go self employeed be your own boss... got to get out on the bike at the weekend. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I've been invited on all expenses trip to China at the end of this month by a client And tonight I'm going to see Rebecca Ferguson in concert (was originally meant to have been in May this year but was postponed till today)
Spent a lot of money on a new burner for the Aga - better bloody last the same length of time as the original (40 years)
Had a fabulous run out for my (potentially) final observed run before going for a cross check and on to my IAM test. In the middle of demonstrating my slow riding ability in the car park outside Newbury hospital, the Mulistrada died as if someone had turned the switch off. Interesting ride back to my place on the back of my oberver's Triumph 955 which the least said about the better. Amazing what having a 17 stone hulk on the back does to the handling . Got the bike back and initial diagnosis looks like at least one cell in the battery failed - catastrophically. Got a spare on charge so hopefully back up and running tomorrow and able to confirm that it isn't the rectifier. Still, had a fantastic run out through Wiltshire and West Berkshire . Andy
Oh and I have seen the Sainsburys Christmas advert today to be available to the general public on Monday
Took Mrs RT to her favourite lunch "Pie n Mash" at Romford then over to Hyside Ducati to take a look at the Scrambler. We both sat on them as she is enjoying being a pillion on the 748 but the Scrambler fits a bill perfect for us both but just a bit to much money new and would have to sell the 748, not many used ones about.
Spent last night building my new trampoline in the back garden. Got up this morning and it's covered in fox shit and dog shit..
Messing around with rel subwoofer in the front room (for some reason the amp decided it wasn't there) got it working again so then a good test was the directors cut of Knight and day (really an excuse to watch the extended hypermotard bit).... Followed up with Sherlock Holmes - game of shadows.... Top stuff.. Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
I have lifted dahlias and raked up leaves. I packed it in when my toes froze off. It was dark anyway.
Spent the day in the garage..... bikes now 'winterised' - lifted off the floor and trickle chargers installed. Will be covered tomorrow. See you in the spring :Arghh: (or maybe a nice dry day early in the new year :Woot
Ascertained that the Multistrada's battery is dead as a Dodo and sadly, as is the spare battery I thought was charged. New battery purchased and on charge. Will have to wait for tomorrow before findiing out if it's the rectifier that killed the battery in the first place or (hopefully) it is just an old battery that came to the end of it's life. Andy
