Just bought "Cluedo: Swingers Edition" in the post Xmas sale, Turns out, they all did it. in every room
So did everybody get what they wanted for Christmas ? My family clubbed together to buy me a voucher for some clinic in Switzerland, although it looks like they could only afford a one way flight
And 11 today around the coast at silver bay, weather remarkably warm at 9deg! Feet aching now! 57.5miles in 6 days:walking:
We took 2 of our grandchildren (#2 sons son and daughter - 18 months & 4yo) to Huddersfield leisure pool this morning. Its really quite good. We had a lot of fun. This afternoon we went to a local farm shop. We played on the swings and slides, bought our "tea" and had an ice cream. We've now just watched Shrek 3 and the kids and grandma are playing dinosaurs. SWMBO plays the role really well.
Awwwww, bless. Did you get someone to push you really, really hign on the swings? I bet you were tired out and had to have a sleep in the car on the way home.
Spent all of yesterday and most of today stripping my latest acquisition (Lambretta Li 150) back to bare nuts and bolts! Lot of plus gas, penetrating oil, swearing and grazed fingers and knuckles- but I think I'm about there? Whoever built these Scooters 50/60 years ago needs flogging!!!
You'll get there. Here is my old Lambretta GP200 that I bought in bits a few years back, and when I finished it. It did take a couple of months though. Notice the Termignoni
Wow,looks proper lovely chap! I'm putting my Li 150 back together after replacing rusty n stripped nuts n bolts etc but leaving paint totally original
That's almost disappointingly good, makes you wonder why they don't charge a bit more and pay the workers more.. be honest, would you be any less pleased at £33 ?
Shot some deer today... with the DSLR! Results in photography thread. Now eating copious amounts of cheese while warming up from a few hours in the garage
cycled 15 miles including going over the North Downs, first time since I damage my knee five years ago so a real personal achievement.
Took two of my kids ice skating at the outdoor rink Down in town (bristol).... Dusted off the old super tacks.... It's like riding a bike... You never forget... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Spent a few hours in the hospital with my 82 yr old Mum today - she tripped over her Christmas tree flex and twisted and snapped her ankle. I got there before the Ambulance that her neighbour/best friend had called. She's having an op tonight as they re set it 3 times to no avail From sorting my Mam the neighbour went to another house next door to hers to find the ladies husband had just died as my Mam was driven away in the ambulance. The neighbour is called Theresa too :Wideyed: She's a star, but has had a rather taxing day all round...
It's not nice having to deal with stuff like that at any time of the year. And it brings home your own frailties and mortality
I realised this morning that I'm living my life like a medieval knight. Every night I sleep with a battleaxe by my side.
And another 12.3 today, feck, my legs ache now. Another coastal walk with some 2500ft total ascent and we walked a whopping 28,000 steps. Almost 70 miles in 7 days! Time for a beer
Today I have mostly playing with my grandchildren (#2 sons kids - 4yo and 18 month old) We all walked into Holmfirth at midday and had coffee/drinks and cakes whilst we were there, which was lovely. They've gone home now and the house is quiet and back in order. They are great kids. Very loving, (fairly) well behaved and so full of life. It's great when they're here, but lovely too when we have our lives back too :tearsofjoy:
Today i had my gear position sensor changed, an 80 mile round trip in freezing fog. Good kit kept me nice and warm, roads slippery but still lovely to have wheels turning no matter what conditions are, all good practice.
