Well I landed in Santiago, Chile & now in Valparaiso...fireworks are supped to be beautiful here on New Years Eve so I will be getting some pics tomorrow night it's the best way to spend it at a hot place because it's in the middle or summer. Got some nice shots from the plane as we were coming in to Santiago...Pacific on the right and the Andes Mountains on the left...here is tallest mountain in South & North America called Aconcagua! And here is the view from outside the door where we are staying at my girlfriend's Aunts place...South Pacific Ocean ready to get swam in...
i bpught some Man Cave art (The lighted sign) It needs a little touching up, but was a lot cheaper that the new copies being sold and it's a genuine Arai. :Happy:
We took the mountain bikes to Salisbury plain again, slightly warmer so very muddy, got plastered, fell off twice. Only did 16 miles but flipping hard work. Here is a photo of the bikes on the rack when back at home before cleaning.
So far I have messed around on the internets and caught up with the news and had breakfast. However I have grand plans for the rest of the day........................I plan on going out on my mountain bike in an effort to try and get fit in 2017 and to lose some of this fat I've put on in the past 3 months, and I plan to wax my snowboard. Time will tell if these plans are actually realised.
I had my smart hat on this morning- I was queuing outside marks and Spencer's waiting for them to open to beat the rush. Got ahead of the crowds and before they sold out - ha!!
Looking at the weather forecasts for France for the next 4 weeks and that's prolly what it'll get used for
Second planned task completed now as I've just come back after a couple of hours on my mountain bike. For those that don't know, where I live is fairly hilly so I is well and truly knackered now. I must try and keep it up though. I need to get fitter and lose a bit of weight (says he now laid on the sofa filling his face with chocolates)
By the way - Happy New Year to all forum members - especially those on here who had a tough 2016 health wise with bike crashes/injuries,the dreaded "big C" or like myself other health problems.Never give up the brave fight! It was this forum,the banter,humour and biking fraternity that kept me sane (or insane) through some pretty dark times in hospital during 2016.Thankyou guys and girls and here's to a healthy 2017! And another.....steady 8.5m today in and around Menai bridge, 78 in 8 and now for a nostalgic "broadsword calling Danny boy" seen where eagles dare so many times I still have to watch it though!
It was the girlfriends idea to put lemon under the turkeys skin - apparently it keeps the meat moist and stops it drying out? I did asked and she still got the hump! Some people are never happy?
Not my idea! She deffo was not amused,flicked them off in one smooth move and crunched them to pieces
