Fit one of those tempered glass screen protectors to my new phone. That's a ball ache that'll never happen again. So many air bubbles my phone looked like an aero. Got the arse and threw the protector on the floor so it's covered in dust now. Not all bad because my kit contained two... Until I fucked that one up exactly the same way. Anyone need a hand applying some decals to bikes, I'm ace [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You have to start with a small section touching your screen and the rest raised in the air. Use use a squeegie type device to revove the air bubbles as you apply the protector. If you plonk it straight on the screen and try to remove the bubbles later, you're screwed. :Banghead:
Mine came with a handy applicator. It was the dust particles causing the bubbles that was my downfall. In the seconds between peeling off the sticky back and laying it on the screen, it would hoover up all surrounding dust particles. This then gave me loads of little air bubbles with white dust specs everywhere. Looked like loads of little boobs with nipples. I ran one under the tap and have managed to salvage things by using a sticker to remove all the dust from the protector. Next time I'll pay someone else to make it their problem.
Yeah, the trick is to keep the backing tape on the protector and remove as you are applying it. You have to be a bit of an octopus, but they pick up airbourne particles like nobody's business. We have an issue at work applying high gloss decals to car door sashes. The backing tapes are removed while fitting or you'll see lumps of debris underneath.
