So what have you done today..?

  1. Been humming and harring for far too long so I finally put my hand in my pocket. Been looking all over the place for this and was in town this morning to replace a Van Haylen cd that's gone walkabout and there it was staring at me from the jeweler's window having arrived the previous day. Even managed to get a pretty good discount. Andy

  3. Yes it was and the object of lust for many a young man. The red bloomers in the Railway Children did it for me as well :Bag:. Andy

  4. Ooh that's very nice. Can't tell from the photo is it gold or silver finish? Like the strap as well, make a nice change from stainless bracelet. What model is it?

  5. Erm.. Thanks Andy :)

  6. This one OMEGA Watches: Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M James Bond Limited Edition The strap is fabric with a leather backing and the watch body is stainless. I prefer this one to the (realy limited) Spectre watch that James Bond wore in the film. Andy

  8. I spent this afternoon listening to some cockney wanker of a plumber who talked to himself more that my poor deranged uncle Gustaff, whilst fitting my new water meter in the flat.

Given it's awkwardness, an hour job at most but it took 3 hours due to him "talking it through with himself" and multiple attempts to fix leaks on new joints.

  9. Bought a 2003 cbr600rr crashed track bike as a very minor project. Hopefully ready for Almeria in May.

  10. Spent all day in the garage cleaning the 1198 with the fairings off and doing them minor fettling jobs that take bloody ages and make you want to scream lol...

    Looked like this at 12:00hrs...

Fitted @Exige Hi-cap cables too, very happy with the product and results :)

Bikes looking a bit more complete again now and the winter make over is now nearly complete. Will share some photos once I've finished putting last few bits on and given it a clean ;)

  13. @Ben Mallinson did it take long to get the end cans and seat unit off? just wondered as I have the job looming so as to change the subframe.

    Maccaa:grinning:

  14. I fell asleep at work today, and woke up with a teabag in my mouth.

I'm not happy - I hate being taken for a mug

  15. Ever have one of those mornings where you wake up and can't be arsed to get dressed ?

Anyway, I got arrested at the bus stop.

  16. To be fair, its not too bad of a job. I was expecting it to be much worse and put it off for a while... Don't know if you know this already, but once you have the securing bolts out of the seat unit, you have to slide it forward on the bike as it has slide clips holding it in place. And I'm sure you've seen them already, but there is bolts under both rider and pillion seats to ;)

Removing the end cans is a peice of piss, slightly trickier getting back on and the mounting band spacer back in place when you have clown sized hands like me! Still only 10 mins job removing and refitting though :)

Give me a shout if you need any more info, I have a spare seat unit I can photo for you so you can see all mounting hole locations if you desire.

    Cheers,
    Ben

  17. Went to the doctors today, and he diagnosed me as being highly paranoid.

I can't stop wondering who else he's told.

  18. I gazed in amazement today at the Insurance Renewal received from Carole Nash.I then read it again and thought either it is an early April 1st joke or perhaps they have been spying on my riding skills.:(
For the mileage I do it works out at something like £1-35p for every mile I ride in a season.
I think a call to another broker, probably Bemoto is in order.
