Waxed the bike today up after washing and polishing the other day. Wow the paint looks so deep and wet! Feel bad about riding it now.
Just back from a nice run out with @Mac , shame about the rain just as we hit his favourite road (and I can see why!!). Another 230 smooth effortless multi DVT miles
Got back from a fantastic few days down in Norfolk with the family. Weather was great, good days out and plenty of laughs and happy memories created Intended pulling the 1198 out of the garage for a clean when I got back and ready for going out for a blast tomorrow but all its done is bloody rain since we got back! Least it will do the grass some good though. Tomorrow looks not to bad so guess the cleaning will be getting done then
Oh yes! I've had the SS for nearly six years now and still think the air cooled 900 is one of the most fantastic usable engines there is for a road bike, It feels very muscular. Would love to try the smaller variants which were less torquey but higher revving. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Had a lovely beef roast and pint of cider at a pub called the Rose and Crown in Redmarley D'Abitot at 1:15pm today and still full.
Had a nice relaxing morning and took Daughter #4 to Sainsbury's to pick up everything that she wanted for her 10th Birthday buffet tonight... Give the 1198 a clean and got all ready for heading out to Willingham woods for a cuppa and to meet @cleedubber... Heading through a village about 5 miles from home and rear end felt a bit soft, stopped to check and found I've picked up a laceration to the rear tyre bloody gutted!!! Could have been so much worse though if I'd been 10 miles further down the road, in to the groove and pressing on. Feel quit lucky really.
All fine this end thanks @El Toro, spotted a rusty looking piece of thin metal in the road I'd taken when plodding home at 10-15mph so guess that could have been the culprit. Took the car back and removed it after getting the bike put away and de-robed to prevent it catching anyone else out too... Such is life, hopefully get a new one fitted tomorrow
