  12. That's the way to do it! Because at 10.50am the old dears come out. Garden centres open at 11.

Wouldn't want to total your bike too.

  13. [emoji23] zero traffic on the bends at that time of the morning. Loads on the way home

  14. Good to see you're back in the saddle. Hopefully the apprehension will fade but the roads a so busy around the southeast it does take away a lot of the fun.

As Chiz said, it's in your blood. You've just gotta get out there and do it.

  15. I agree, it's the best time to ride, by 11am on a Sunday it's all over.

  16. Trouble with early runs are 1) it's early! And 2) you have to look out for more wildlife, some of which can be considerable in size. And this time of year the Tarmac is a bit cold.

  17. I was having a cup of tea, when I hear the distinctive sound of a twin outside. Looking out of the window, my neighbour has his new Harley on the drive, running it and giving it a polish. I think it sounds............nice :Bag: dear god, please help me. :Nailbiting:

  20. Picked up a box of mixed SS washers and a tap washer kit from Screwfix, a selection of M6x1 button head screws from the local bolt and tool shop and cracked on with fitting the new fairing on to the NC29. Interesting fit but it went on really quite well. Just the screen to fit after another visit to the bolt shop for the M4 fixings I forgot to ask for and then cut the holes for the crash bungs. Only drawback is that I didn't get a new front mudguard or rear hugger. Looks like I'll be surfing evil bay later. Thought I'd fire the bike up as it hasn't run since Jerez last September and it took a few cranks to get the Spanish blue petrol around the system but it fired up and buzzed away quite happily. Just over 3 weeks before the bikes get shipped out to Almeria with us following 4 days later. Not to rub it in but this retirement thing really seems to be working out :D. Andy
