  2. Racing wasn't bad and caught up with a few out of touch mates. Also realised how out of touch I was with many of the racers I used to know, and how less friendly the DD paddock is these days...it's changed

Watching Josh Day doing 1'30s and how much speed he carried into coppice was incredible! :astonished:

  3. "real gent" hope that hasn't been changed automatically like the trackday riders forum, means something completely different on there lol, I'm sure the panel looks much better on your bike than on the shelf in my garage.

  4. Saw an opportunity to impress this morning in the shops. A very attractive lady kept looking at me, I'm not sure if it was a come on or fear, or she just happened to be on the till, so I went to the same till she was working at and thought I would offer some banter

I would like to offer the results, apparently if you have had a dicky tummy for a few days, then coughing offers some real risks as apparently coughing and farting at the same time is not seen as a "neat trick" or a positive for a woman as I found out.

This dating is proving harder than I thought

  6. Another fantastic day in northern Italy! Rode to the Ducati factory and museum on the Futa Pass. Took about three hours with a 30 mins water stop and photo opportunity of some stunning views (pictures to follow).

The factory and museum tour was interesting. They don't give anything away, but it's interesting all the same.

The ride back to the hotel was by motorway. Not any ordinary, boring motorway, but one with fantastic sweeping bends and curves! It was like riding a race track. Loved it.

Tomorrow is the final ride for a couple of hours before we take the bikes back to the depot to be shipped back then we head to Pisa for some sightseeing, before heading to the airport late evening?

All in all its been amazing. I'd recommend to anyone to do this kind of trip, as it gives real value for money and maximises the time you can spend riding!

Pics of today to follow separately.......

  9. Spent 35 minutes in an MRI tube that was narrower than my shoulders (again) and for those of you who are clostraphobic will know I'd rather be poked with red hot sticks. Anyway, done now and just have to wait for 4 weeks before getting the results. Beer and pie now :p. Andy

  10. Beer and cocktails in Scum as we are off to Robbie Williams concert tm at st Mary's. :bomb::astonished::upyeah:

  11. Yeah, been there done that a few times. Nearly freaked out once, seems I suffer from Claustrophobia. That's when I found out. Weird feeling of being buried alive!

Icy calm, deep breathing...calm . Get me fucking out of here!!!
    Survived. Better with it now.

How come it takes 4 weeks for the results? Daft isn't it.

  14. Specialist's appointment was made in advance of the MRI scan appointment and I guess that the MRI came through a lot earlier than they thought. My sacrum has been a challenge to sit on for the last 6 months so another 4 weeks ain't going to make a lot of difference. Got Barcelona and the MotoGP at Montmelo from Thursday to take my mind off it for 1 week. Andy

  15. The technician put me in feet first this time which made a difference. Still had to keep my eyes shut tight and try not to scream out loud. Good luck tomorrow :upyeah:. Andy

  16. Last night we had our big night out. Fantastic meal with fantastic company. We also discussed the potential destination for next year........could be around the Brno or Catalunya MotoGP:)

This morning we were meant to be going out for a couple of hours but looks like people want to chill round the pool instead then it'll be check out of the hotel, take the bikes back to the depot, then on a coach to Pisa for the rest if the day sightseeing. Our flight doesn't leave till 10.30ish PM so we have a fair bit of time for eating and drinking too :)

Overall the trip has been awesome and very good value for money. It certainly would have cost as much, if not more, to have ridden across plus it would have taken/added four days longer of soul destroying, mind numbingly boring motorway (2 days riding there and 2 days riding back) to do so. I'd definitely recommend it.
