So what have you done today..?

  1. First thing this morning I went to Wythenshawe to collect my Panigale and luggage from my Italian trip. The ride home was rather wet. The Panigale hasn't been used to rain recently ;)

Met with @Ben Mallinson and his lovely wife Helen in Holmfirth for a coffee and a walk around to show them Nora Battys house and Sid's cafe etc. Then a quick ride to my house for a bit more of a chat with SWMBO.

When Ben and Helen left I set about tidying up my holiday stuff, putting the washer on and then spent a couple of hours getting the bike clean.

We've now got #2 son and grandchildren here (daughter in law is on a hen weekend). The kids must have taken a boatload of E numbers as they are running riot and doing my head in :/

  5. Would be interested to hear your thoughts after a few more miles and getting to grip with them @chizel as we were very close to pulling the trigger on a set, purely for bike to bike comms between us to aid Mrs M when she's not sure on the route when we're out and about...

  6. Helen says... Did SWMBO manage to lay her hands on any nail varnish remover?

Truly tickled her pink and kept her entertained this afternoon :)

  7. With some help managed to get the old Triton out of the workshop. The frame is from 1957 and the engine is from 1961. DSC_0157.JPG

  14. Maybe volunteering for a makeover in the morning if they're good and go to bed will help...:joy::joy::joy:

We're still kid free (bar the eldest) and loving the piece & quiet :p

  15. Yes the Lions played well, we were beginning to think this tour was going to be a dud here in NZ. The Crusaders played poorly with a lack of imagination and failed to adapt to the change of referee style and Lions strategy, not like them at all. The whole country is buzzing with anticipation for the 1st test, but the mighty Highlanders are up next, we'll see how they go before the All Blacks get a crack.

  16. Watched "LIFE" what a pile of poop :poop:

  17. Decided I've had enough and stuck the triumph up for sale with 'needs engine building or replacement engine' ad.

  18. when you say the lions played well, I listened to bits of the game ( on the wireless as I was working) and they were kicking for a penalty 30 mins in 5mtrs out from the line while 6 points up already.. Sounded to me like northern hemisphere rugby from days of old ( you know, when they sucked even more than present day)
I feel for the supporters' that went to the other side of the world to watch em take shots a goal.. Maybe the radio coverage didn't do it justice but if the best the lions have to offer is that, I can't see em getting anything other than a pasting...

  19. Fitted Kreiga kit for my 1299. Fitted iPhone power lead. Discovered my iPhone mount won't work on 1299. Arse. Bit late now. I leave on Wed for Alps. Oh, well. We've been going so often we know the way. But I bet we will still take that left at Albuquerque.

Edit: Whatever chump designed how the side panels fitted and screwed together on the 1299, surpassed even the inane fastenings on the 1198. Considering I can strip my 916 in about 10-15 mins, its been downhill ever since. Bastard thing is like the Krypton Factor.

  20. Just got back from Montmelo having run onto someone we shared a garage with at Almeria, who'd of thought ? So a litre and a half of Estrella Damm later feeling decidedly sleepy. An enjoyable if unusual day with Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP all delivering a different race than previously. If you will excuse my vulgarity, fffecking hot from the word go, about 25 at 10:00 rising to well over 30 by the end of MotoGP and still registering 31 at 6:00 this evening. Catalunya is awesome and even after 4 rounds over the years, it still stirs the blood and 11 years on, Barcelona still does it for us. Got a visit to the Gaudi castle tomorrow and just chillin' for a couple of days before returning to the rat race. Well rat race for Carole, continued retirement for me. Andy
