  1. All you lot riding while I've been on a 4hr round trip and indoors most of the day :poop:

  2. Took the Hyper out for an hour this morning then spent the rest of the day packing for a week's worth of meetings in Jakarta and the 5 days break in Singapore.

3 hours shut eye and now sat waiting for early morning flight from Singapore to Jakarta.

    Knackered...

  3. That's fantastic. Cheers Ben.
In Wales I stayed in a holiday cottage. I'm not a fan of riding around fully laden. I like a base for a few days so I can get out and about without luggage. Ireland's too big to do that from one place base and now I've been looking at the map, probably even two. The idea had been to stay somewhere mid-south for a week, roughly between Cork and the Slieve Bloom mountains, then move north near the border within reach on the Antrim coast but staying in the republic because accommodation's cheaper.

You parent's place is further west than I anticipated but now I come to look at it, south west, mid and then north, perhaps Donagal looks more sensible.
I don't want to go to Dublin. I'm not interested in the cities - at least I am but not on a biking tour. But I would like to go to the Wicklow mountains and Lough Conn and the Ballycroy national park which are a fair distance apart. So as the Ring of Kerry is a must a stay with your folks would be ideal and it ticks all the biking boxes which a lot of holiday cottages don't. I've struggled to find many where the bike would be secure.

Lots of food for thought here. Some serious route-planning ahead.. I like this bit. :)

  4. I got lost near Hay-on-Wye. The B4352 wasn't where it was supposed to be. :motorcycleduc:

  5. I've just been asked the time by a British Gas engineer.

So I told him it was between 8am and 1pm :)

  6. Packing the bike ready to leave Stresa we have a 200ml ride to Annercy meeting up with friends tomorrow we have a 450ml ride to Falaise in Normandy

  7. Took twelvey for a spin yesterday. Seemed like everyone and their dog was out in their car too. Scrubbed in new tyres but everyone of my fave corners were chocka with cars. Got lost near woking, a town ive never been to and will never return to.

Damn twelvey is quick. I though elevensie was quick, but twelvey is stupidly quick. But also easy to ride at town speed. Got hot balls and monkey butt. But throttle spacer mod was a fiver well spent.

Took to M25 for a pootle home, but everyone kept moving outta the way and before I knew it I was caning along the fast lane. It seemed impolite not to, when these nice people moved asides. But sometimes I just wanna sit at normal speeds. Still, got my fave left hander off m25/a22 clear. Which was nice.

  9. Today I have tried to understand my inability to understand my 32 year old child's upset at having a row with someone on facebook and how much it upset them. Nope, still don't get it.

  10. After 25 years marriage I'm now beginning to wonder if my wife is having an affair.

We've moved 250 miles north and we've still got the same window cleaner.

  13. They're only BMWs though. No match for a lycra-clad stick insect on amphetamines.

  17. Went to Blackpool today, to ride on the "Pepsi Max" big dipper.

Took some spare rusty bolts with me, and just as the ride started to move off I tapped the shoulder of the guy in front of me,

"Hey dude, these just came out of your seat"..

  18. Can't be many bikes that suit a single seat as much as the 916 series.

    Colour match is really close.

Needs a good polish with G3 but will wait a few weeks for clear to properly cook.

Only thing I'm not 100% on is the infills. Look a bit meh in silver. May do again in black next fine day. IMAG1537.jpg IMAG1538.jpg IMAG1539.jpg IMAG1540.jpg
