This morning I was up early and the dogs wanted to be out in the morning sunshine and Mrs M wasn't really feeling the getting up to let them out game at 6.30am... Had a relaxing coffee and then took the dogs for a walk. Pulled the bikes out of th garage, took Mrs M for a bacon butty at Sainsbury's. This great start to the day was then followed by meeting up with @El Toro @greencat @Rebel and @chasp So from the meeting point, we had a ride up in to the Lincolnshire Wolds and called in at Willingham for a little rest, chat and cuppa... Then it was on the road again and headed across to Gainsborough (where we all clapped eyes on some sights that will be with us for years I'm sure!!!) and then on to Blyton where we stopped off for an ice-cream and to chat some more b*ll*cks. Then it was a leisurely ride back along the Trent bank to where we first started out. Was a grate ride out, taking in some great views in todays fine weather, good roads and everyone seemed to enjoy the ride and road well Saturdays don't get much better than that for me I'm afraid. Looking forward to the next time we do it already Unfortunately these photos were taken whilst we were waiting for you to arrive Nathan but hopefully Chris will post some more from the day
Looks like a fabulous day Ben!!!.....great day for blasting about!....El T on the scrambler and not the Pani....Hope you lot took it nice and steady....lol...
It was a great day. Only took me an hour and ten mins to get home from the Tesco at Scunthorpe and I went the scenic route too. Not a motorway to be seen! All in all I did 210 fantastic miles on the scrambler today Big shout out to @Ben Mallinson (and Mrs M), @greencat, @Rebel and @chasp for a great ride round Lincolnshire and good company. Bike has been put away, lid and jacket debugged and now to do a couple of jobs SWMBO wants doing before going next door this evening to be fed and watered. Tomorrow is another day and I will have another early start but this time on the Panigale, meeting @bettes before heading to meet @MATT46 (formerly of this parish) and a couple of other friends where we wil be making another full day of it around the north east coast
170 miles on A & B twisty roads in glorious sunshine around the province. One of the best rides I've done in a long time.
Got the forklift back at 10:45 this morning. Stayed at work while 2:30 and all's good for tomorrow's ride out. And in case you're wondering why I needed the forklift @Ben Mallinson It's the only place I have to keep it. Hope next time works out better. Ian
Haha, no Rob. Made it hard to nick. We have cctv, manned 24/7 by this big lad who doesn't mess about... Bike's also locked up in a cage and starting from now, I shall be hiding the forklift truck keys so no buggar from work (or not) takes it!
Bloody hell....new Thatcham approved anti-theft device....99% reduction in insurance premiums....better safe than sorry buddy!!!....
Went to Sherburn to meet up with friends @ 10am then onto Barton on Humber on a convoluted B Road route avoiding all major roads, left Barton as it was starting @ 2pm and missed the crowds - plenty to see early on - they really should do a morning start! Perfect weather too!
First time on the bike as a pillion today, my son! (Age 10) left the streetfighter in the garage and we took the fearsome Honda inova for this milestone lol
More messing with this gixers calipers and rode to get fuel in my shorts (and test brakes and steering all ok) Can't remember last time I rode in shorts, even for a mile...1994 I reckon on hols in kefalonia
Had a great BBQ at mine with some brilliant friends. Now burning stuff and missing some old school friends taken to soon. Life is short..... Enjoy it, we are only here for a visit. Miss you Paul. RIP buddy.
I high sided many moones ago dropping a A DVD back to blockbuster 2 miles from home. Taught me to always wear leather. I broke my elbow.
Lions played well but majorly disappointed with the AB's, how many opportunities did they bomb? Particularly in the 1st half, 2 (or 3 ) kicks at goal missed, ball dropped several times with an open line, not like the AB's at all, succumbed to the pressure the Lions applied I think. Was a fantastic tour tho', can't believe they are thinking of dropping the Lions as a concept.
Just getting up , I'll take Remi for a wander round St Dogmaels then it's packed up for 12 and a 190 mile ride home .
Kids party at 10am. I was asked by the child in front of their parents last weekend if I was going, no pressure. Ok then.
