  8. After checking out train times (2 changes and a cab either end) and all my mates suddenly remembering they had an important meeting they couldn't swerve I bit my lip and booked an Uber cab so I could pick up n pay for a mint Volvo S60 D5 SE.A very polite driver was outside my house - bang on time in his shiny Toyota Prius (ugly hateful monstrosity of a car!).He was from Afghanistan, spoke minimal English and only knew his way round Slough but was very smartly dressed in suit n tie and a polite charming driver.Despite nearly T Boning an elderly couple in a brand new Honda Jazz on M40 roundabout and trying (totally unsuccessfully) to keep speed low so the pig stayed in electric mode we made it!!! At £75 cash Uber were £25 less than all other local cab firms so I gave him a FIVER tip! He was a very happy chappie

  18. Bigger drugs and half a dozen Stella means I got some sleep and Cranker didn't because I was 'proper snoring all night'

Off to Donington after breakfast, all kicks off at 1115. Dry at the moment, hope it stays that way....
