  1. Mervyn, the bloke I got this bike from had two Norton commando's, a Ducati 450, a kawasaki and aTriton with two 500 engines fitted, a real old school engineer.

  2. Today I have mostly been out on the Panigale with @bettes . First port of call was Squires where we saw/met @Exige . Good chinwag, couple of coffees, and several cigs by Bettes and Exige and we were off around north Leeds/Harrogate way ending up at my friend, Darren's house in Yeadon. Another coffee, chocolate biscuits and a bit of a gossip whilst Darren washed/polished his original Mini and we were heading off home.

Tonight Darren and his gf are coming over to us for the night and we're off out for dinner! Which is nice. :)

  6. Then the little lady tells me she's taking possession of my 848 SF -

Cos she's traded in her Monster 796 and just bought a 1098 SF

That's bit too quick for her so we're swapping - knew she was a keeper !
Guess that makes me a lucky bastard

  8. As it's only 4 weeks before the bikes are packed off to Cartagena, thought it best I get off my arse and start prepping them. Carole's NC29 now has fresh oil and a new filter, all the nuts and bolts have been checked for tightness and the engine run up to temperature. It is such a sweet little motor and sounds fine. Just got a set of new Supercorsas to fit and it's ready to go. The 1098R has less to do as it got an oil and filter change for Silverstone and it's not been out in anger since. Out for supper later with Carole's Momentum Kettlebell crowd who have been doing energetic outdoor stuff this afternoon. Andy

  9. Today, I have spent the day riding with @greencat and @Rebel...

Some may have seen the ToL ride out posted on the Lincolnshire ride outs thread. It was a great day out, with some great people, plenty of laughter, nice route and great riding... I would recommend anyone who thought about joining this years to have a go next year :)

The day started off a bit misty...

But soon cleared up and before we knew it we were parked up just south of Whitby and enjoying lunch with a view...

Then, as we got entangled in some traffic in Scarborough and Chris tried to get the 1198 to cook my nuts... We headed back south to Lincolnshire, again taking in some nice roads and views along the way... Managed to drain the 1198 tank in 80 miles :D

After a quick top up in Barton we called in 'Guy's Place' for a coffee and to drain th bladders :)

Only thing that would have made this fine Saturday any better would have been 'Mrs M's' rota not getting changed and her being able to join us too...

Thanks for a great day @greencat, looking forward to next time already (hope my rota falls right again) ;)

  10. Me and Mrs Roadtrip have been out on the 748 for a ride but we want to test ride a Scrambler to see how we get on as it looks much more comfy and enjoyable two up.

  11. Don't be too hard on yourself, you'll have plenty more to do once the camper van bug bites!

  12. Went to fowlers in Bristol and the girlfriend got some winter gloves - Dainese freeland goretex something or the others. The x travel ones they make are nice, but the cuff was too big for her with her winter jacket. Saw a couple of nice ducatis parked up there and they've got a nice 1199 for sale too.

Good ride out today. Tried out the new dash for the first time today. Needed to change the Ti disc bolts back to the steel ones and is reading right now.
A few of the smokers on display at squires. A good mix of all the best ones, tzr, nsr, Rg 400 and 4 RG 500s.

  18. Plenty of bogies

  19. That old Honda four is a good looking bike as well. Is it the 550? Can't read the side panels but that colour scheme rings a bell.

  20. Out on the zed most of the day ( it's first mot today ) and then picked up this set of bad boys...
