I sent the wife next door this evening, to ask the feckers to keep the noise down.

Can relate to doing things getting in the way of other things. Got up this morning and heard water running down by the barn. Hubby told me an outside faucet had an antifrost fixture on it...no it didn't. Frost pushed connection apart and created an icy water feature! Hauled air compressor down there, shut off water line and blew it out while it was still liquid. Yup, winter has arrived in Minnesota. Now on to the original to do list.

 

My daughter phoned me this morning asking if I wanted a "FitBit" for Christmas? I told her I was trying to give up Thai lady boys so no thank you. Apparently they are two different things, who knew.

Made progress. And yesterday bought my much better half’s birthday present she’s having a hard time at work right now, it’s going to be so tempting not to give it to her this weekend, which is a month early.

I was thinking the same. Almost 80hrs a week will kill you over time.

 

I struggle doing 140 shifts a year, but I love the 225 we get off !!

 

I know a few on here are oil workers. Those hotel in Norwich is full of them.

 

Yeah, off shore boys Paul, I like on shore stuff. 4 on/4 off, do that 5 times then have 14 off, that's the ticket, we finish this friday for 4, then only 1 more set of four then 14 off

I don't think I'm quite at the insane mark yet, could well be on the route to it though... Unfortunately 297 is true, 3 weeks offshore with a few 16 hour shifts due to call outs and 3 days training last time home

Probably my own worst enemy when winter comes as I try and get my courses and overtime done before the nice weather comes around again and it's time to get the bikes back out.

It is sad with Daisy @Wayne58, she'd only just turned 3 too All very quick though, diagnosed with addisons disease 5.30am when Mrs M got her to the vets and she gave up the fight Sunday lunchtime... The house doesn't feel right without 2 dogs in it so I expect we'll be getting another one sooner or later.

 

So so sad mate, but yep, least was quick eh. In time, cheer yourself up and get another.
