So what have you done today..?

  1. Yes I still have man flu. The coughing is now so intense that it's happening in my sleep. Last night the coughing was so bad I had a heavy nosebleed

    However, when I felt a warm liquid running down my face and given how long it's been since the last time, I laid back and enjoyed the moment :D

    Today I will be doing laundry for a variety of reasons
     
  2. Enjoying a large black coffee and a toasted ham and cheese coissant. Car is in for an annual inspection service and new front brake pads. Hospital later for a pre op assessment ahead of surgery in 3 weeks time. Andy
     
  3. I phoned the Incontinence Help-line this morning, and they asked "Can you hold please?"

  7. Thank you Mervyn. Finally getting my coxycs (? tail bone) sorted out. Should be a simple procedure mostly involving the insertion of needles, pain relief and steroids. Andy

  8. Catching up on house work today. Got behind after spending the past week or so preparing for last night's season ending high school trap shooting banquet. It was a great time, kids were awesome (as they always are)! Took the dogs for a run this morning. A bit brisk with a fresh dusting of snow and temps at -7, windchill -16. Invigorating!

  10. Braver man than me Andy, colossal fear of needles. I usually go for pain unless it's off the scale. You should have seen it when I had to self inject after I broke my leg - sweating great lump of quivering jelly, I gave up trying after a couple of days.

  14. Learnt this afternoon during the pre op assessment that they are going to sedate me as I'm not supposed to wriggle around so I won't know anything about it. Andy

  16. Good idea. That's a sensitive area, lots of nerve endings not to mention the end of the spine-no sense in taking risks.

    Put in my application to become British. It’s not easy, or cheap. But this should be it now.

    Gonna miss the visas, but otherwise I’m well happy.

  18. I build ski chalets for wealthy clients. The first one belongs to a Swiss oil trader and the second one belongs to the actress Emma Watson. My place is a bit more subtly styled and about 300yrs old!
