This morning me and SWMBO have been to MeadowHell. I have bought myself a pair of new smart/casual boots, a pair of walking type boots and SWMBO a pair of trainers. We also tried to take something back to Joe Browns that I bought SWMBO for Xmas on-line, but they wouldn't accept it in store as it was bought on-line I have now thrown out 3 pairs of old shoes/boots, plus emptied my wardrobe of stuff that I've not worn for the past two years - they will all go to the charity shop when I get round to it. And since I've been awake since 4am I will shortly be hitting the sofa for a snooze whilst watching some crap that I have recorded over the past few days
Maintenance: kids are either plugged to you tube or consoles or still in bed...bit of peace and quiet...behind the footpegs for a clean, grease etc etc...
We played the "Swinger's Cluedo" game my wife bought me for Xmas today. It turns out, they all did it, In every room....
If you live in Rochdale, grit and bear it https://rochdaleherald.co.uk/2017/12/29/council-enough-grit/
I've just found that a pair of boots I bought from clinkards this morning at Meadowhall were £20 cheaper on line. And when I rang the shop to complain they tried to tell me that what I bought were different to those pictured online. Not a chance! I got a £20 refund!
Finished reading an old foggy book, preparing for his visit to the grand city of Hereford in May, where he comes to entertain us for the night and to promote his new book!
@Ducbird , not sold out yet, it think, but you better be quick, let's make it into a forum evening out lol, with a visit to a few pubs after the event!
Today I have been fitting new TV coaxial cable throughout the house as my reception was getting worse, all done and what a difference, the TV would only pick up 11 stations before the new cables now 55 with better signal strength, no alterations to the aerial needed. Steve
Installed TV in office on the wall, son dumped at train station, old dryer dumped at the dump, new washer plumbed in, new table built for xbox one and ps4, stir fry cooked and several trips to the garage for assorted bots and tools in between. Yawn.
No wind or snow are forecast for tomorrow. The Met Office have just advised everyone to make unnecessary journeys.
I was delighted when the debt company I owe money to, said they were going to send some bay leaves round to my house today. They're absolutely my favourite herb, so I borrowed a few quid and knocked up a chicken biryani, ready to eat with them. Imagine my shock therefore, when two fat skinhead thugs in suits turned up on my doorstep and walked off with my cooker. Bastards
Drove westwards to Penarth for a belated christmas get together with Carole’s mum, brother and nephew. 10 of us went into Cardiff and got stuffed to the gunnals at the all you can eat Brazillian bbq, Viva Brazil .... I do like a meal that’s meat, meat, meat and more meat followed by bbq’d cinnamon pineapple . Just got back having dropped Carole off at her place and still feel stuffed. Must remember to chew a Rennie’s before I go to bed. Andy
