Today I bought my tv licence and I'm feeling smug as they have today announced it is going upto £150.50 from April the first. I had thought about spending my saving on a kentucky fried meal...
Its about time they cancel this, i wish i could opt out of having the BBC, KFC sounds interesting with fine bottle of Pepsi
SWMBO has just booked a week for herself at her brothers in Spain in June. I may take the week off and ride around Scotchland, Wales land or Cockneyshire that week.
Up at 3.15am, on the road for 4.30 and in Colchester for just after 8am... Went to a funeral and had an hour at the wake, then back on the road and heading home by 1.30pm Quick stop off a Ducati Peterborough for a nosey on the way up the A1, had a good nosey around and sit on a V4S, as much as I hate to admit it now... It looked better in the flesh and I can see them growing on me with time. It was sat next to an 1199 and 1299 in the showroom though and I still think the 1199 is the best looking of the bunch! When I asked the sales chap about the full Akra system too he was very enthusiastic, why wouldn't he be when they're quoting just less than £5k to supply and fit to a new bike!! Serious coin for a lop sided exhaust eh! Stopped off at the chippy to pick everyone's dinner up on the way home. Kids fed, and been relaxing for an hour and now I'm absolutely knackard. I don't think it'll be too much longer before I give in and call it a day!
This: Before- During- And after- My new winter job. Got a contract to do all the hedging on a big organic farm. Done it for years off and on since I was sixteen. Interest and demand has grown in recent years and its commercially viable full time now. Beats brickying. Quite literally a breath of fresh air. Pay is as good or better, There's now hassle, grief, liasing with other people or down time in the office at home working stuff out you don't get paid for - you just turn up and get on with it. Hard work though, but in a satisfying not a demoralising way. Just need to find something else to do for the other six months of the year and the trowel can go in the skip.
