I have just changed the oil on a spare honda 125cc we have in stock and tighten up the headstock for buddy that had his stolen by the scumbags.lets hope he's got got insurance
I am about to fit and calibrate a 'Bell' push bike speedo to the YR5 after my coffee. I was up at 7 to take my 04 Aprilia RSV Factory for new fork seals - it will have an MOT and new battery in readiness to advertising it for sale. Had a quick look on Ebay at Factory RSV's - seems like I should pitch it at around £5500 or a little higher perhaps - any thoughts (it has 6000 miles on it from new and is very very pretty)
Nice spin around Dublin mountains and for a Bertie bonus when I got home the missus had living room painted. Its been a good day
Picked up some units from Howdens this morning, then fixed them finished about 2ish, then cleaned the T6 van by hand, good physio for the bad shoulder, took about 2 hours. Then off to Sainsbury’s to do some shopping, needed some gin and some lager, going to have a shower then demolish the gin, I’m knackered.
Been out with @bettes all day First stop Matlock Bath for coffee. Unarranged meet with @panigale66 and another Ducati rider called Dan. Then on to @JenC and @jompy bbq. Met with lovely forum members and @chizel. And I have to say it was a thoroughly lovely afternoon. Thanks to all for making it so
Met up with Jim @Gimlet bright and early in Northumberland, had a ride up through into Scotland with him on the way to his holidays, stopping for a cuppa on the way. Hooned it back home and out all afternoon at a friends retirement bash. Now very drunk on a train letting you all know about it
Went to the ATM to check my bank balance - after the USA roadtrip, I'm as broke as a Toothfairy in a drug den.
Cleaned and serviced the rsv4 after the TT - it was in a pretty sorry state....caked in shite as we got caught in torrential rain from Bristol to Birmingham on the way up there, Ive not changed the oil since just before the last one (used it less than a few times last year so its not had a lot of use). Coolant flush and a shed load of SDOC100, neat to give it a good clean. Tank grips are knackered so ordered a new set. Next job is to take the tank, airbox and the rest of it to clean the airfilter/airbox and change the plugs. I will say that all my front end woes are history now as the forks (once id rebuilt them) are now great and the M50/RCS17 upgrade was definately worth it. I wouldnt consider myself any expert and really cant give any technical info my most basic review is that performance increase was that, the old set up m4/rcs19 was either on or off from a braking point of view and the m50/rcs17 was if i was at the extreme end of braking i would get more performance than the m4 with less pull but have more feel and control within the full range of the lever pull. Very difficult to describe but very glad with the results.
