  9. Tinkered with the 999 yesterday. Alcantara seat binned, in favour of a NOS stock seat and fixed my front brakes.

Decided to go for it on the brakes, so new master cylinder, hoses and pads. Was a bit annoyed that Hel had supplied a 999s kit with the wrong banjos, so I’m not sure whether that means they’d sent a kit for radial callipers or whether they’re just incompetent. Long story short is that they’re sending me a new kit. Anyone with a radial-braked 999s is welcome to the kit that didn’t fit my axially-braked model. EBC HH pads finished the job off, after a clean up of the callipers and then a bleed up. Brakes now feel amazing.

Gave it a clean and ACF while he fairings were off too. Very happy with the outcome.

Superlight is languishing in the garage until Wednesday and then it’s off to get the LH scuff marks sorted on the fairing. Didn’t get round to cleaning the red SS yet. That’s minging after running around Northumberland in the rain... Fairings off and a deep clean for that bike later in the week.

  12. What issues Noobs ? I had a mesh put in around 2003 after ripping it, lifting something f'kin way too heavy to be attempting, but not had any issues since though. Was a keyhole procedure and all went well iirc.

  13. good luck!

  14. Apparently for some, a small amount, the mesh can tighten in a way that makes it feel like you have that blue banding plastic strips they wrap parcels and pallets with. The sharp edges then start to drastically restrict movement as it feels like the edges are cutting into you which can cause infections and damage. I believe most hernia repairs go very well

I was told it would be keyhole before going under but woke with a 5 inch cut instead. At the moment it feels like the hernia repair has failed as well as the mesh is causing more damage /restrictions than before the repair. More annoying and uncomfortable than anything else
