En route through a very hot germany, frankfurt now, hopefully get on an earlier than booked tunnel I'm booked tomorrow morning before 7am
They were £2.50. I remember looking at the kids pissing about and eating theirs and thinking "if you drop that I'm not buying you another ".
Finished rebuilding the engine from my Suzuki T350 and put it back in the frame should get it running tomorrow
I’ve been refining a contract for a small but prestigious project in Shanghai. With a bit of luck I may have it signed by the client tomorrow. Fingers crossed
Offers accepted though we had to drop our price below that the agents suggested to get the interest and secure the house we want to buy. The solicitors are talking and surveys being carried out. Fingers crossed its all formalities from here on in. It's taken six months to gets here.
If I thought I’d win the bet I’d take it. But you could be right They’ve been a fecking nightmare to deal with. And in my experience if a job is shit from the start, it’ll be shit at the end. I’ve tried to cost in enough so we don’t get spanked if it all goes “shit cart”
We’ve accepted an offer on ours. We’ve had our offer accepted on the house we want. Our buyer has had a survey done on ours but his buyers buyer has gone cold so the chain has stopped for the time being. We are just sitting tight for the minute.
Went to London on the train (almost said 'that there London' but stopped myself), sat in a room all day and was pleased that the 4.05 train was running late and I managed to catch it - less pleased when it was announced that it wasn't running at all. Sat next to a chap who ate three packets of savoury snacks in a row (including necking the bits at the bottom of the packet). Got home to discover our neighbour's scaffolding has been erected and hangs over our property. Fortunately I own a quite noisy motorbike, a 2 stroke outboard and a 2 stroke strimmer so revenge might be sweet and prolonged.....
The ride out was great and I'm pleased to confirm that all went without any problems so it looks like the issue is sorted It was bloody fantastic to have a good blast on the way home having confidence that the issue was cured. Must have had it well cranked over whilst in the groove on the way back as Mrs M received a bike down alert from my tracker when I was a few miles from home... Needless to say I was greeted by a scowl as I pulled down the drive and her rushing out to check for damage There was a great collection of bikes there too, about 10 in total and a nice bunch of people. Shame it doesn't fall whilst I'm home more often.
