Had the SPS out again with no misfiresfixed it myself by pure luck, now getting the R ready (clean) for a oil change in the morning at the dealer, waited for the GP to start and then switched it off after six laps/no yamaha's
Had planned on a bike run out as the sun is shining, but my wife had other ideas of seeing some bridges somewhere up in the hills of Lancashire. When we got there it is as raining sideways, so we turning around and came back to a sunny Manchester. Might go out for a ride now!
Commented on someone’s ad that it was 2k over priced. Don’t normally do that, but the ad and his responses to questions deserved a knob response.
Coffee and croissant in Lymington (pleasantly quiet now most of the tourists have gone). Back home to do some gardening whilst listening to the builders putting up plasterboard next door (no one told the sub-contractors that they aren't meant to work on a Sunday). They did arrive at 7.20am
Fitted new disks/pads front and rear on 2011 MTS 1200 whikst watching moto2 and moto3 on laptop then watched motogp sat in comfy chair happy my work was done
And I thought Ducati parts were expensive! https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/honda/...9_fireblade__-_sc44/00-01/picture/fuel_filter
Yesterday actually. Drove home after Saturday's little kerfuffle. Bit uncomfortable especially over the poorer pieces of road, but managed OK. Three and a half hours "door to door". All well. Raining today so taking the Hyper to the dealer will have to wait until tomorrow.
Fitted a load of farkles to my new Multistrada yesterday: Evotech crash bungs, engine guard and bar ends. All good quality stuff, impressed though their instructions should, IMHO, include torque values. Tribo pillion seat cover. Bit of a struggle to fit without creases but managed in the end. Puig touring screen. Was expecting this to be a solution for wind noise but it seems worse, especially in the lower position, than the seemingly too short OEM one. Will try swapping back again to confirm. Speedo Angels protection film on the dash. One small bubble in the middle, looks like there must be a speck of something under there. Not noticeable with dash active but annoying all the same. Pack had two films but I know damn well that if I tried again it would be worse so leaving it. Givi tanklock ring. Looks like I'll need to buy the Ducati sat nav mount (when they're available again) as my current set-up (on bar bolts with RAM arm) is too low and will foul the bag. Wired my Garmin 590 mount into the correct connector. Dealer said that I'd need to buy connector lead but I was sure that I'd read on here that one was included, sure enough there was one plugged into the connector under the left fairing panel. Test ride to a friend's for dinner for a shake-down run of new parts. Apart from screen all seem good. Coming back a chance to test the headlights, pretty impressed with those. Not quite up to those on the VTEC I had a while ago but certainly effective. Cornering lights not as effective as I'd hoped but maybe more relevant for tighter going.
Just dropped Carole's Diavel off at MRs after MoT failure and deemed unsafe to ride. A bearing in the swing arm and rear shock linkage has collapsed. Andy
