We had our homebuyers survey back. What a shower of shit that is. It's purely aimed at getting more money from the seller, like insurance, it's based on fear and corruption. We haven't felt the need to go down this road. Hope exigit finds this 'useful' ... Cue
That’s exactly what the report does. When our buyers report came back it came back with the most minute things that took me all of 5 minutes and one screw to fix. Complete waste of time. I’ve just rattled the estate agent’s cage telling him to find an alternative in view of the block on our chain. And can you guess what his “fall back answer” was? To reduce the price! I then proceeded to tear him a new arsehole!
I dropped my phone into a bath full of water tonight. It says on Google cover it in a bag of dry rice to save it and it worked! Its working great, but the only contact i have left is Uncle Ben.
In this country once you sign up for the house you own it, no backing out unless something illegal has happened, most do put a "Subject to Finance" clause on the contract tho'. But that is usually cleared up within 3 - 5 days, then the possession date is agreed, about 2 - 3 months.
I have some work lined up outside today but looking out of the window it looks like it might rain...just not sure if i'm becoming work shy this days
Having fitted heated grips to Carole’s Icon myself, I needed to get them enabled so took a run out to MRs. For a 70hp (ish) motor, even with a 17 stone lardarse on it, the performance certainly brings a smile to your face. Not too sure about the seat though, it’s only a 26 mile run down to MRs for me but my bum was sore before the end of the ride. Anyway, job done so must now get on with preping the bikes for our weekend in Wales. Andy
Just come back from fracture clinic, can take one special boot off now, yay, review in another 6 weeks...
Not today but last weekend. Went to the 2 day Moors and Coast greenlane and camping weekend, run by Teeside & North Yorkshire TRF. We were based just outside Whitby and rode all over the North Yorkshire Moors. Saturday, set off at 09:00, stopped for a mid morning cuppa at a place in a valley at Fryupdale, the name just made me want breakfast again. Riding until we stopped for late lunch at a place called Glebe Cottage Tearoom at Kildale, had the best chicken sandwich on doorstep bread. Back to "Home sweet tent" for 17:30, 163km. Sunday was a bit quicker pace, only one real stop for lunch, we rode through Harwood Dale and then West-ish I think, did about 200km. Absolutely brilliant weekend. My arm ached after the first day, it`s still not right from a biggish off I had last May. The down hill rocky stuff was the real killer, luckily only one of those descents on the second day. My bike ran good all things considering. I think it`s burned a valve but I didn`t have time to fix it, it never once missed a beat though, or complained about being thrashed up hills and along tracks, it never failed to start within a dozen kicks even after I`d thrown it at the beautiful scenery a couple of times, bloody thing is heavy to pick up. Two exhaust valves, valve seals and a camchain are on my shopping list, and maybe a set of rings. Camping was ok-ish, evening beers were good, two nights under canvas...... hmmm, not so sure, I`m getting to old for that shit, my mate stayed in the Vivaro Hotel but I think B&B is the future. Can`t wait for the next one.
Just been sent this picture of some old boy out and about on the Yorkshire Moors at the weekend, worried passers by said he should know better and looked a bit lost and unsure of where he was. Good news, he was returned home on Sunday evening and he`s now back safe on the settee with a nice cuppa. happy days
