  6. Used my Abba Skylift in anger for the first time today. Fitted new front and rear discs/pads and a new rear shock. The Skylift made the job a breeze. Even getting the awkward bottom shocker bolt out of the 999's swingarm.

  7. Nearly got wiped out by 2 Kamikaze Pheasants , in two separate incidents today. Scary

  8. I was up and on early this morning to see Mrs M off to work at 10 past 6, then took the dogs out for a nice morning run whilst the roads dried a bit, went to meet Chris at 8.30 for our ride up to meet with some cracking folk of this forum...

Got home, put bike and gear away, hoovered up, cooked dinner so it's all ready to warm through when Mrs M gets home at 7 and now just got to pop to the shop to stock up in milk and coffee ready for the morning.

After that little lot, I feel a few tea time pints in the local coming on. Couldn't have had a much better day (besides the house work bit) whilst Mrs M is at work fetching some more coffers in :)

  18. 180 miles in the pi**ing cold and wet around the Snowdon national park. Went to Portmeirion and the robbing bas**rds want £12 per person to walk through an area that is owned by a commercial hotel. There was a warning to say the area is not suitable for the disabled due to the many changing ground levels but still charged them £8.50. The roads might have been wet and shitty but with the very average weather they were all but empty except for about 25 to 30 other mad motorcyclists. Had a good day and now for a hot meal and the bar. Andy

  19. Difficult to prove, don't think they're tagged. but could you claim off of the shooting syndicate that reared them if one caused an accident? After all they are not wild birds but raised to be shot, in effect they are livestock.

Hit one earlier in the year whilst on the bike, it hit my shoulder, luckily I stayed on.

  20. More feet up fun with Richmond motor club.
This has been a great experience for a nine year old and I’m so proud of the way my lad has listened and learnt from the older kids.

Find out where your local trials club are having an event and pop along it’s a really friendly sport and all levels are welcomed. Decent bikes can be bought for as little as £1500 and the events are a tenner to enter. I’m no off road rider but if I didn’t have to accompany the boy through his sections I’d definitely be having a go.
