  1. I should be sorting the clutch on the fuglystrada today, but my back is still killing me. It's gonna have to wait til next weekend now as I'm working away all week again.

  2. Well it's not snowed yet as forecast, but it's lashing down :frown:

  3. Snowing here

  4. Off to house #2 - bathroom fitting. Almost finished.

  5. And here, Had planned on cleaning the bike today but that's gone out the window now as an idea

  6. Well its still dry but very cold, had a run out to the Cat and Fiddle, there were a few bikes about but the snow and cold must have kept others away.

  7. not been to the cat and fiddle for YEARS!.......whats the name of the other pub,is it the Scottish piper?.

  8. woke up this morning and the mrs gave me a full body shave, then went out in shorts and mowed the lawn.now im working on restoring an old ww2 air raid siren ( the mate has one and lives about two miles away so we will be able to hear each others ) then i need to drive to town for some grapes.

  9. what a very odd day.but hey ho,it is wednesday!.

  10. There having been so much talk of late of lasagne, or rather horse lasagne, I thought I'd make one from scratch without the horse - just to see how hard it is. Using a Jamie Oliver recipe for hunter's lasagne, so the rabbit and duck are cooked, the tomato sauce is bubbling, the egg-dough for the pasta is in its cling film. Probably a needlessly complicated and expensive lasagne, but I bet it's a lot tastier than Findus Lasagne con cavallo.

Off out in the rain now to plant my honeysuckle. Sob!

  11. Just before the cat on the Macclesfield side is now The Peak Tea Room, I remember it burning down but can't remember its previous name.

  12. Full fry up, 30 mins mins on the turbo trainer, ordered some TechSpec Gripsters and a CF Lieb-speed tank protector for the Pani, repaired a faulty blind in one of the guest rooms, a few press ups, showered, walked the dog and now will sit down for a rainy day flick and nap (old!)

  13. I thought about it when it dried off but it was Baltic so I went back inside to the warm.

  14. next to nothing as it was that miserable - fell asleep during F1..

  15. 800 calories out at the gym, followed by 720 in with a huge sausage sarnie set the day up nicely. Gary collected tank, bit of shopping, gap in rain so finally got a few pcs of bike, then agreed to buy more bling with money I haven't got but have to have. All in all a decent day :upyeah:

  16. Had a blast and a snowball fight today.

  17. Dunno whether to say "respect!" or "bonkers!". Both I think.

I planted the honeysuckle and spent most of the day making the lasagne. A tip for those who want to do it: Only take it on if you have an age of time, a big kitchen, a zillion saucepans and kitchen implements. You need to make a tomato sauce, roast game, make a white sauce, make the lasagne pasta. None of this is too difficult, but doing it all at the same time is.

Verdict: it came to the table at 10pm. It was brilliant, but after that amount of effort, so it should be. I can see why people try and skip the pain with Findus ones. Try, but end up with a nagging (see what I did there?) doubt.

  18. My 85yo dad makes lasagna most Saturdays from scratch. And it's always on the table for 1.30pm. What took you so long?

  19. I didn't start at 6am.
