  2. You only really need to watch from after the race finishes...........if you want to see a lot of over paid, 'slapped arse' faces on the podium.

The best example of 'washing ones laundry in public with the knowledge you're getting paid millions so try not to upset anyone', I've seen in years!

  3. sure is! Been in the house for 2 weeks now and the heating has never been right. They tried a fix on Friday and now the water doesn't work and the aircon makes a hell of a racket. Think it might of dumped its refrigerant. Hope they sort it as house is freezing! Got a feeling that the temp fix has overloaded the system.

  4. Think yourself lucky you didn't go for a ground source heat pump. I've looked at two systems and they just don't work in Blighty, at least not without adding plate heat exchangers or extra condensers, which put the installation cost through the roof.

  5. Just got up to check boiler as heating isn't on
It's reading 2 bar and seems to be leaking water I thought from fill up loop as I topped it up yesterday
Above is a red valve it seems to be coming from there
I put thermostat on manual it's reading 18% with flame but all rads are cold
    It's and ideal Boiler

  6. Doesn't sound ideal to me

  7. Red thing is the 3bar over pressure relief, iirc. The cold pressure of the system should really be 1bar, not 2, and the pressure relief should be venting outside.

Not that I'm a plumber (hence anything i said should be taken with a large grain of salt) but had to fix my boiler recently, including new prv and thermistor.

I would reduce the cold pressure (maybe bleed a rad or two until at 1bar), then try the magical turn off, then turn on solution (obviously making sure you follow correct reignite procedure, etc).

    Good job it's spring, though!

  8. + 1 on what pete says, but i set mine at 1.5 bar

  9. It was on 1.5 but somehow it's managed to get to 2
I may not have closed it fully :-/
Will have a go at draining a rad wish me luck!!!

It's been a problem since I had it installed via warm front

  10. Had a look the rad keys I thought I had dont look anything like what I have here :(
Think a call to British Gas is on the cards

  11. You can see the valve has been leaking....the green cr*p indicates that.....and don't forget if you drain and refill a rad, you will reduce the amount of corrosion inhibitor in the system (if there is any in it.......knowing warm front, there may not be any)...
