On the way to the big smoke with the kids, will be a first for them, so it will be a full on programme, planned so far, national history museum, Tower of London, circus on Southbank, change of the guards, at that lot on benefits, cycling in Hyde park, breakfast at Bill’s, so we have to see what else we can squeeze in
CBA’d for far too long so finally replaced the knackered curtain track in my front room and as a temporary measure until I can find something more 21st century to repace it, I also washed the net curtain. Exhausted now so time to put my feet up, scoff some of the left over cheese and pickles bought for Boxing day and maybe, just maybe, have a beer and listen to some music. Has to be music because there is absolutely nothing of any interest to watch on Freeview, just like there wasn’t yesterday. Andy
Well first thing I had to go to see a dermatologist to check on a suspected skin cancer spot where I had some removed 2 years ago. Anyway the good news is that he doesn’t think that it is skin cancer but something called a keloid which is a mark that can appear on a scar. So that’s good but he’s going to refer me to a plastic surgeon to see if they’d recommend surgery to have it removed again. After that we hit J27 on the M62 (out of town shopping area) and went to all the furniture shops there to look for a new bed, lights, chests of drawers etc. New bed ordered but I’ve managed to rein in SWMBO on the other stuff for the moment, though she’s on about going to Meadowhall tomorrow to look at M&S furniture. When we got home I decided that I’d go through the garages to sort out what stays, what goes to charity shops and what goes to the tip prior to our house move in a few weeks hopefully. That leaves Saturday free for me to go out all day with friends on the bikes
Attended work... unlike most, there are only 3 of us across a whole floor where there would normally be perhaps 100 people working so it's pretty quiet!! I've also been to the gym, as it appears I have 4KG to loose!!!....
Had the morning to myself so took the BSA A7 for a run out stopped at a local pub for a shandy Haven't used the A7 for over a year but it ran well
Built a cupboard in the workshop to store my power tools. Just got to fit the doors and finish the top shelf. Started the workbench. I have put it on lockable castors so that I can change it's position. Had this delivered today as well so decided to fit it to the workbench this evening.
