  1. Yesterday: On the way home from work on the Hyper....tough day (for a friday - people getting on my tits, workload etc etc)...roll up to the crossroads at the bottom of my road (main Wells Road in Bristol)....me, on one junction, superduke to the left, R1 opposite, and a z800 to the right and all 3 staring at me, light changed for me. Pulled a nice 3rd gear wheelie up the hill to my house. Thats enough for all stress to melt away, im 50 now and no, ive not grown up...atall...

  4. Just arrived at Eurotunnel Calais and got fleeced £89 to get an earlier train as we arrived from Italy much sooner than expected. Robbing barstards!

  6. Wife’s Mini failed it’s MOT on a leaking front shock, so bought a pair as you do, started taking tha offside one off, all going well and the lower bolt was a tad tight so out comes the 6ft bar and lo and behold, one sheared fucking bolt!

Rings Mini to be told that happens all the time as BMW Mini in their infinite wisdom put a fully threaded bolt in so it tights up the mount from the minute you start locking up the bolt......WTF for I have no idea.

So off to a mates tomorrow to see if we can get it out using various machines otherwise a new hub will be needed. Apparently they now use a normal nut and bolt..Twats!

  11. Well so far, so good. It seems to have worked. Based on my successful handiwork I may build the garden room extension myself :joy:

After doing a few other ickle jobs we went for a walk round the village and then went for lunch in a lovely little cafe. Now laid on the sofa ready for a well earned snooze :)

  13. Yesterday actually, but so what. I went to the Irish Motorbike Show. Dublin's a bloody long way away, 10 hr round trip:(, but I had a good day anyway. Here's a few pics of some of the bikes that grabbed my attention - no new stuff. Enjoy. No.8's my favourite :) if only it had a Ducati engine in it:upyeah:

BTW, the 2 Honda WSBK homologation specials are owned by the same bloke, and, yes, the 2 Suzukis are the actual ones ridden by the late great Barry Sheene. I remember seeing him at Donnington back in the late 70’s.

  14. Good day today in the garage. Got the tank off the hyper, gave it a thorough clean, and fixed the QS at the same time (it was just a case of pissing around with the sensor)...

  15. Poxy mobile phones! Lost signal as went onto train and didn't have time to check properly.
Just got indoors after leaving the hotel at 8.00 local time this morning in Italy. Having driven there and back the only roadworks and delays were in the UK. Much as I hate to say it the French motorways were 100% perfect, no traffic jams, no road works and only saw one police car all the way there and back. There were 7 or 8 fixed speed cameras but with large warning signs well in advance so not a problem. 1200 or so miles of stress free motoring then back to the living hell of UK roads.

  18. I drove all the way to get fish and chips for my cheat meal (losing weight for my wedding) only to get home and find no fish in the box, and the kid behind the counter didnt cook the chips properly. So that'll be beans on toast then
