Went greenlaning today, first time. Shame it was on my M1100S with road tyres Took a wrong turn & got lost ended up in what can only be described as Texas Chainsaw country, boy was I glad to get out in one piece and back on the main road . Oh the perils of living in a remote, unpopulated, rural location.

Despite my off-main(or any) road experience yesterday...... It was just such a beautiful day for once that a ride out over the Caha Pass between Cork & Kerry was my intended route. Beautiful road and stunning scenery. What was even better was/is the N71 - a major arterial route, is closed for repairs over the mountain until 16/3, but a bit of local knowledge puts you onto the closed section - eventually!. From the tunnels on the county border to Bonane in Kerry, lies a fantastic road, new road surface and a good mix of straights, sweeping curves and wide hairpins AND not another vehicle on it! Oh how many times I went back & forth yesterday, to come to grips with the Monster . What a fantastic bike.

GREAT deal!! Went to Goodwood watched a lovely real Cobra Le mans and a 60's mustang hack it round his lordships track. The cobra sounded awesome. Of and got soaked in my leathers on the way home, but Hey Hoe spring is almost here!!!
Fitted new spider spring and plates to the SFS slipper clutch and stripped all the body work of the 888 ready for belts and service + Full SP5 exhaust system and oil cooler, Oh also fitted Evotech front axle sliders to SFS to get rid of the ridiculous looking R&G jobbies, Its all fun
