  2. I took the wife out last night to see a "Mind-reader" act down at the local pub.

He said to the wife "Think of any card"

    "Ok" she replied

    "Visualise it in your mind"

    "Ok"

"Is it the nine of clubs ?"

    "No"

"Is it the ace of spades?"

    "No"

    "What card is it?"

    "A birthday card"

  4. Meeting my 81 year old dad for breakfast later this morning and I'm afraid. Last week he told me he had been having funny dreams and stupidly I asked what they were thinking it was something serious.

He told me he had dreamt of his girlfriend of the last 30 years and woke up with a semi, as rare as it seems, I had no words

  11. Ordered a new chain and sprocket set for the 748 from BandC Express on Tuesday, I have just two days later had a call to say they haven't got the front sprocket in stock, I was expecting them in the post today, anyway they are sold as a boxed kit so Im surprised the front sprocket is missing, they are sending the chain and rear sprocket and the front will follow at the end of the month, luckily I have a good spare front for now. I'm surprised it took two days to inform me of the problem though.

  12. I've flicked through/read the Diavel Owners manual. This thing has more toys than Smyths. I'm going to try and customise a few settings tonight if I can be arsed.

  13. Went to a funeral of a friend this morning. Tends to be a little bit more somber when you find out that they were 6 years younger than me. Andy

  15. Opened the workshop door to work on the 748 today to be met with an overwhelming smell of petrol :mask:; really strong. WTF?

Checked everything, eventually tracked it down to a leaky carb on the scooter. Turns out the float valve wasn't closing properly, the carb was overflowing, had dripped into the airbox, filled that enough for the air filter to start soaking it all up and then when that was saturated had started to drip onto the wooden floor. Major calamity avoided thankfully and a good job I don't smoke:confused:.

Scooter got chucked outside to evaporate off, got back to work on the 748, the carb will be fixed after lunch.

  18. Sold the boys Oset.
Had a heavy heart as it’s been a fantastic experience for him but he’s outgrown it and time for another kid to enjoy it .
