Back to Abingdon to (hopefully) collect the V4 after the exhaust valve recall on a disgusting CB1000r loan bike. I do not like Honda's (CBRR and Monkey's excepted).
We've had "Building Control" come out to look at the trenches the builder dug yesterday for the foundations of our extension. So far, so good. Though he did make a quip about his signature having only just dried on "passing" our house just a few weeks ago. Concrete pour is planned for Tuesday
Excellent - foundations always worry me due to tree roots etc. When we had our last extension I had a contingency fund of £10k (big extension) per my architects advice. I spent it on a new bike when building control signed off the standard depth foundations
I've just phoned Kirklees council and asked what precautions they've taken in the event of a Dalek invasion. They told me steps had been put in place...
I've just seen on the BBC News that Caster Semenya has expressed her anger and disappointment at the IAAF’s decision to limit naturally occurring testosterone levels in female athletes. “This is a real kick in the bollocks for me” said Semenya.
.....or NOT. Cables done but the exhaust itself is cracked. New muffles time, yup, they are in Italy. So, do I take the plunge and 'upgrade' to a set of Akrapovic (full system or slip ons) or stick with standard. Help!! Oh, and Im stuck with a bloody Honda.
Had the 748's belts changed by Paul (@PGP) at: https://www.pgperformance.co.uk/ He also changed the steering geometry to track and dropped the forks by 5mm which seems to have taken a bit of pressure off the old wrists If you are not too far from Eastleigh / Southampton /Winchester then definitely bookmark his website - an awful lot less expensive for labour than main dealers and really knows his stuff. I've also received some photos of my Dad's old (1939) Brough Superior which is alive and well in Germany!!! Photos to follow when I retrieve the photo albums from the loft. A real shame I didn't discover this when he was still alive as he would have been so chuffed to know it was still on the road.
400 acres of private woodland with no vehicular access. Just a pleasant stroll to see the bluebells before they go over and what a glorious sight they were. Andy
Today was rear brake disassemble & refurb day. Only before pic as the thing’s in pieces at the moment with various bits in Frosts Rust Remover overnight

Heading over to angelsey later today in order to catch an early ferry over to Dublin on Saturday morning. We’re going to travel way down south for a change in search of fresh Guinness and even fresher seafood, before heading up the west coast for some family formalities.
