The chap who currently owns my Dad's old (1939 so very old!) Brough Superior is happy if a posted some current photos of the bike along with the ones I have from my Dad - mainly taken when he went on holiday to Germany on it complete with my Mum and sister (who was a toddler) in the sidecar in 1959/60..... Having ridden some of the best roads around Exmoor yesterday, rode some of the worst roads around Dartmoor today. Quite chilly again this morning but still managed 180 miles. Andy
Nipped down Fowlers on the zed to get some coolant (the rsv4 needed a top up now ive been out on it). Passed by a van choc full of plod (with my ever-so-questionable tail tidy). Didnt raise an eyebrow - but i wouldnt say im going to get away with it everytime although itll suffice for the TT trip. Back to the batcave for random maintenance on various bikes....watched the Motogp/BSB qualifying at the same time....bliss.
Rang NHS 111 for SWMBO. She normally doesn’t suffer and definitely never complains but this Man Flu is taking its toll. I’ve never seen her so ill. Ever. I’m waiting for a doctor to call back.
My wife went to the cinema with her mates tonight to see "50 Shades of Grey". I went to bed at 10-30pm, and she arrived home at 11pm. She walked into the bedroom with a leather strap in one hand, and a chain in the other. "Jesus" I thought - "my luck's in". "Here" she said, "You forgot to walk the dog......"
Just got back from taking her to the doctor 10 miles away. She was complaining of a severe headache for the past two days and paracetamol wasn’t touching it. She’s also been sick twice, which is so unlike her. The doctor checked her chest, back, blood pressure, ears, throat.........declared everything seemed to be ok and it was a virus, and she should take ibuprofen and lots of water.
I have to go and visit the retail sheds at crawley and look at ceramic tiles for the job that i'm onand i don't do retail at weekends ever ..............bike ride coming up sometime today
