Been using the HMRC web chat function to understand why my PAYE code had been changed. I am actually impressed and it’s a huge improvement on trying to talk to the automated call filtering telephone number they give you. Hopefully when I get my annual income and tax paid statement for the 2018/2019 tax year, I can kiss self assessment tax return forms goodbye for ever. Hoorah ! Andy
Bought something on ebay today, not unusual, and I get a text from 62226. It tells me it is paypal and a £159.99 transaction with a named company and today's date, was marked as suspicious. Please reply 1 if authorised or 2 if not authorised. Alarm bells start ringing thinking its a scam but it came within 10 minutes of the purchase for that exact amount and to the company named. I do the guggle search and it appears it is a sometimes used paypal safety check.
Just had some bloke give me a leaflet at the door for a conservatory .... no thanks and then he says “ we have had a big uptake of people around here having composite front doors and we will pay you to take them away”...... errrr no thanks What’s wrong with our plastic ones bloody chancer
In my quest to try a variety of different tyres (and not read any reviews) ive got a set of these to throw on the zed....
Theres a special time in a married mans life when the stars align, the birds are outside singing, and i try to think ahead a little.... Weve got an Smax titanium sport (with the big 18" wheels) and while its a great car, by fuck it rips through tyres for a variety of reasons, sidewalls getting torn off, generally wearing down tyres and, punctures.... Anyway, bearing this in mind, and, more importantly most cars these days dont come with a spare, i went looking for a full size spare for ours, found a ford garage knocking brand new ones out for 180 quid, bargain, bought one and then a new tyre and stuck it up in the garage rafters along with my spare bike tyres. In the last few months ive had a random few jibes along the lines of...."that was a fucking waste of money buying that wheel and tyre..." Left for work this morning, smax has a flat tyre....back in the house...."smax has a flat on the rear" - looks exchanged, nothing needs to be said....ill change it tonight when i get home....hey...because i can
Well, ironically my mate knows/knew a guy that worked at Avon....this set cost me 125 quid....last time ill get that deal...they closed the plant...!
Just an odd wonder. if your upvc door is fine but you fancy a change, I wonder if one of those car wrap companies could change the colour/look of it with a simple front side wrap? should be much cheaper than a new door?
Today we've ridden from Stresa to the Ducati museum it's stopped raining and warming up nicely and looks good for the weekend
I managed a couple of hours more on the 998 this afternoon; rearsets, tank back on and primed, brakes bled and various other small details. I must say she is looking fairly good and I’m feeling quite pleased with myself!
