  1. Funnily enough I did, if I hadn't waited for the wife and gone at my own pace I could have had a few.

  2. He has stilts attached to elevate himself;)

  3. Otherwise he can only see 100 meters to the horizon

  4. Bought a trials bike to follow boy around when he’s riding the adult course.
The seller promised that all the bearings had been changed etc etc blah blah.

    Front wheel bearings knackered.
    Fork seals gone.
    Floating disc washers missing.
Most of the Allen heads rounded off.
    Head bearings loose.
And that’s just the front end !

Fortunately it was cheap and so are the parts so it’s a little project for us.

  9. I don't want this to come over as "holier than thou" but rather that community spirit can be a great thing.........So hopefully me and SWMBO have done a good deed today (and so has #2 son inadvertently).

In short yesterday #2 son managed to get 3no free tickets to see Bill Bailey tonight at Manchester Arena. Seeing that SWMBO isn't feeling 100% yet after having had man flu for a week, and rather than just chuck the tickets in the bin we have given them to a local family who had some disastrous luck last Friday that has threatened to destroy their livelihood.

There has been a massive outpouring of community spirit and the local community has rallied round and helped and supported them through what is undoubtedly an absolutely traumatic time. This has been fantastic to see. We just wanted to help in some way and thought that by giving them a few free tickets for the show tonight that they can hopefully forget about the shit storm they've been through and they can have a bit of laugh at, and with, a very funny man for at least for one night.

We really hope they have a good time.

  19. If it’s not too late, when you get to Clifden, just a tad further north on that road from you, you MUST take the Sky Road (if not already planned to); absolutely stunning scenery, but sure, the missus would know that already :upyeah:

  20. @XH558 they’re marked way/viewing points on the 2500km of the Wild Atlantic Way. Marked as the view is of outstanding natural beauty. You can collect stamps for each of them in a commemorative WAW Passport.

I am pleased to have done my little bit of tourist info for ye all :)
