I collected my friend James from the airport this evening only to spend 3hrs getting back home through Geneva in the pissing rain due to some crappy marathon diverting all the traffic. Had enough of this shit so tonight we’ve booked first flights straight back out again in the morning to find some sun in Palma. Smug photos to follow!
Getting over a sickness bug Feeling a bit better this afternoon I hate being sick I seem to be sporting bruises on both sides of my face from heaving
Left the house at 8.15 to meet my friend Dave (yes really) in Glossop. From there we went to CMC at Clay Cross to meet another friend from Nottingham. Just as we were at the exit and leaving at 11am @Ben Mallinson rocked up. I gestured for Ben to turn round and follow us but something must have got lost in translation as we never saw him again The total route included Holmfirth - Glossop - Chesterfield - Clay Cross - Matlock - Buxton - Long Hill - Castleton - Hathersage - Snake Pass - Tunal Hill - Woodhead Pass - Holme Moss - Holmfirth All in all I’ve done 185 miles and the rear tyre is scrubbed in pretty much to the edge. I think today I really gelled with the Diavel. It’s an awesome piece of kit! And only one bike (gsxr 1000) overtook us all day and that was on a straight. We soon reeled him in and passed him again on the twisties It’s been an awesome day This was after I cleaned my visor 4 times already
Router down a couple of kickboard lengths,Had the grass strimmer out for sixty minutes only and nearly killed a huge grass snake, popped in to see a friend,PS1000L out for a hour.....that's me already fired up for tomorrow's action
Shame we only crossed paths today @El Toro, I was in need of a leg stretch, pee and coffee after the couple of hours riding there Had half an hour's rest and then took a rude back across our way. It was a pleasant ride and enjoyed it. Looks like you had a good day too. The Diavel looked lovely from the quick glance I got of it
Imola turned into a wash out pity really Saturday was brilliant and this morning was good so we leave tomorrow morning and make our way to Let Man's for next weekend Moto GP not sure of the route might spend a day or so around lake Como before we set off to Let Mans
Arrived in Garrucha and enjoying dinner with reaquainted friends from last year. I don't remember the Cruz Campo tasting quite this good. Unpack the bikes and kit tomorrow morning and get the first foray on track about 10:30. Weather tomorrow is great, about 23 or 24 so warm without being roasting. Andy
