Fitted the new fairings for the 999, these are the ones I ordered from Italy, and to be honest they aren’t very good, the Chinese copies I got first of all a couple of years ago are better quality. Very disappointed and will be emailing the company to complain. The actual finish is ok but the the smaller details are poor and the inside face have just been left as the white plastic finish which looks shit.
Visited the Alford motor museum today. Well worth a visit if anyone should find themselves in Aberdeenshire. It’s local to me so I do go a lot . Few photos of the Guy Martin stuff currently on display. His transit is brilliant

Did about 3 hours on the bike with panniers and tank bag installed and all luggage for the tour in them. You could call it a dry run but it was anything but. Heavens opened up. My waterproof overtrousers worked great Got home and full ocd washed the bike. Used my new pet drier for the first time! Love it. No more chamois leather for me!!! Bit silly to wash it really since the ride to the ferry is going to be extremely wet (there’s a weather warning) and it will be filthy by the time I get there. @Davebird blog you say?
Had the first ride out after rebuilding the back end of the Multistrada. Can’t say I noticed any difference but damn, it was good to get back out on it. Quick jaunt out to the Apache Cafe at Middle Wallop for a bacon, brie and cranberry toastie before riding back for the WSBK racing. Also just booked the Eurotunnel for our track day at Folembray in France at the end of June. It’s a track day on the bike you ride over so the repairs to the Multistrada are just in time. Think I’m going to put a set of M7RRs on my spare 1098R wheels and see how the Multistrada goes with them on. Andy
Yep, it's de-rigueur see Chizel's and Simon's (which incorporates several trips) and Robarano's from last year, if not seen already.
It was SWMBO's birthday today so we took her out for lunch. Whilst she was in a good mood I dropped the news we are going to WDW2020 next year She actually said yes Woohooo.
