Well thanks to an inept Hermes driver who claims to have tried to deliver the parcel at 9am but couldn't find our offices I now wont see them until Monday at the earliest. That's if the bone idle fucktard can be bothered to find us again. I'm fuming!
Had the use of my mates 1260 Multistrada yesterday while it's an amazing machine I don't think it was any better than my 1200 DVT. I dare say this upset a lot of people and many will disagree with this I still think the best Multistrada ever made was the twin spark Pike's Peak
Had my second casting lesson with a double handed salmon rod. Supposed to have been 3 hours each time, both of them have started at 10 and finished at 4.00ish so far, very strange in this day and age to find someone who is more interested in sharing his knowledge than making a quick buck out of you.
Out in the z for a nice gentle ride out. Found myself at BMW dealer ........... S1000RR test ride booked. Not told her yet......
Finally cleared some garden rubbish this morning that's been pending for months with the trailer,#flowers for DBthe ducati's mot ran out fifteen days agoso fairing back on & down the road, but it failed the M.O.T on the grounds of the rear brake not working/but i don't use it was my excuse...bled it PDQ and returned within the hour for a clean bill of healththen had the SPS out as it's been four weeks since the last blast. It was perfect weather with a nice cool breeze flowing down my back that reminded me of that long lost weekend in a Amsterdam
Good tussle with an i8 this afternoon on the way home on the zed...caught me on the hop a little as it went rocketing past while i was tootling at about 70...took a little while to catch up but he leveled off at 130 then we ran out of road...alot quicker than i thought....bit of a supercar week....bloke driving a mclaren something yesterday, when i past him he looked a little like Jonny Vegas with a pork pie hat on....same bit of road...but fair play both of them gave a wink and a smile when slowing down...how it should be...i might add that this was on a dual carriageway and im no riding god...just yer run of the mil straightline-eddie jobber...but fun none the less...
I forgot to mention a chap from heathrow collecting his panigale V4r from protwins today, including the £5K exhaust
Unless your going to do trackdays, there's little point in owning one on the public roads with all that power.IMO
Decisions, decisions. There are so many truly great bikes out there it’s so tempting to just go daft as bikes are competitively cheap compared to cars. I think the balanced approach is to have as many as you can sensibly afford (emphasis on sensibly) but with variety. So, naked, scrambler, sports/super, adventure (if you must) would be great. Reality strikes and if I ever get past 2 bikes the missus throws her toys out. Fair enough. So I have a naked and a super bike. Keeps me pretty happy TBH.
Indeed, but probably not too many on here would be familiar with it. I'm learning it as a crotchety sixty year old, enjoying it though and hopefully in time will manage to land myself a salmon caught on the fly. One for the bucket list.
Think it was started some time back but can't remember who or when. Getting forgetful as the years march on.
