So what have you done today..?

  1. Sat in Bar 44 in Penarth with Carole. Had far too much to drink seeing as I'm supposed to be abstaining but we have had tapas dishes to die for. Star of the meal has been Ox cheeks on a risotto made with beef gravy. Oh my word, just heaven. Andy

  4. Just walked across the Cardiff Bay barrage from Penarth to Cardiff. Lovely walk but challenging pushing a wheelchair over the changes in surface. Time for a snack and maybe a small Estrella Damm. Andy

  11. Went to Sherburn just in time to see the 2 Stroke run start, about 50 or so set off together for Seaways Café.

Saw a Multi there and his buddy from @chizel land - that ride was worth pressing the starter for! They were on a 10 week tour and had been to the IOM.

  12. Got pulled today by an unmarked police car, was on my 1971 YR5 - no MOT, he said is it MOT exempt :bucktooth:
He liked my oil bottles on the number board where the headlight should be o_O
He suggested I put a push bike lamp on to be safer, I told him it would then be technically illegal.
Nice chap, he used to have an RD125 in his youth - think he just stopped me for a look - I said a few of us have old 2 strokes now as there are too many speeding fines and we like to ride without the thought of getting pulled, and he still pulled me :joy: :motorcycleduc:.....

  14. Back in home DIY mode. Got a spare fuck off massive office desk from work this morning. Moved my sons room round in the loft, more than happy with the results - hes like a pig in shit. Tomorrow morning will be sorting my youngest sons little area out in our kitchen - his pc is all piled up so gonna move that around and put an extra double socket in. Then on to my daughters room which is gonna be a bit more drastic....everything moved out ready for chasing new cabling in then a full repaint and new floor....

  15. Met my sister at Rick Stein's in Winchester for lunch - neither of us could work out how we had managed to become so posh! :joy:

  16. just read interesting guidance on bears

The Montana State Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising golfers to take extra precautions and be on the alert for bears while playing on Gallatin, Helena, and Lewis and Clark National Forests Golf Courses.
They advise golfers to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert, but not to startle the bears unexpectedly.
They also advise to carry pepper spray in the case of an encounter with a bear.
It is also a good idea to watch for signs of bear activity.
Golfers should be able to recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear droppings on the golf course.
Black bear droppings are smaller and contain berries and possibly squirrel fur.
Grizzly bear droppings have bells, golf-gloves and sunglasses in them, and smell like pepper spray
