So what have you done today..?

  1. This morning I’m finally having my tooth implant fitted after almost a year since the original tooth was removed.

This afternoon I will be riding one of my bikes as the weather is meant to be sunny :)

  2. Waiting outside a commercial warehouse for the fekkin’ agent to turn up with the keys. No doubt he’ll be a 17yr old who’s mummy didn’t get him out of bed in time  On the plus side, you can’t beat a Greggs sausage roll & at least that’s next door!

  5. Now that’s serious!
I feel your pain, I had mine finally finished last week exactly one year after knocking one out (lol) wakeboarding on lac Leman. No longer having to go about looking like a vagrant does wonders for self esteem.

  7. It takes a year from start to finish and they bum you for at least £2500. If you’re lucky!

I thought I had £500 left to pay this morning........oh how naive was I? However £1200 later (making it £2800 in total) I now have an award winning smile :D:bucktooth::rolleyes:

  8. Or you could take a Teeth holiday to somewhere like Hungary... they do it in a week for about the same money.... except they do your full mouth with implants.

You see people on a Sunday in a bar with Teeth... then all gone later in week and by the Sturday they are going home with gleeming smiles...

In Europe they run bus trips...

  9. How many teeth you get for that?

  10. Note to self. Book trip to Hungary for new teeth.

  11. Which is all well and good from a time perspective BUT your bones won’t be ready for the trauma and the implants have a tendency not to take properly. Apparently.

  12. One. It was a tad more complicated as I had to have some bone transplanted onto my jawbone to beef it up to take the implant.

  13. You really, really, really don't want to do that. Really.

The implant needs to fuse with the bone in the jaw to ensure it is correctly fixed in place before any biting pressure is applied; much like a broken bone mending itself.

This is not a process that happens in a week...

  14. Quoted £2,200 for one tooth. I need four eventually done but not interested in dental-tourism. Even if it saves prehaps half the cost!

  15. that ^^^^
